I had a nightmare experience with Ingrid at Appleone in Lakewood, colorado. She was very Condescending from the very beginning. She told me she had the perfect postion, so i had an interview with the company and it went great! She said she loved my resume and thought i was over qualifed and said she had other poitions available and wated to speak with her hire ups. When i told Ingrid about the interview, she was very upset. She called the HR department immediatley. She did not like the fact that the interviewer told me that. It went sour from there. Ingrid then calls me and tells me that the poistion i was "overqualifed" for was the only offer on the table and it paid 18 hour, way less than what i was asking for. I told Ingrid to let me speak with my husband and that i would get right back with her the next day to make an offer. She then went behind my back and filled the position. When she called to tell me she already filled the position i was dumb founded. She told me to take my time to decide and then lied to me that we never had that conversation. She is a nasty b*tch and was rude from the beginning. I should have knowm better than to go to Appleone. NEVER USE APPLEONE - YOU WILL GET SCREWED OVER AND LIED TO.

The best part is that she then calls me at home later that night and says that they have another poisiton available but it pays less than what i was making now. I know she was lying because i had 2 friends that were already working for the company. I told her i wanted another interview with the company ( i wanted to speak with them directly because i knew she was lying. She said she would find a time and call me right back, well she did call me right back only to tell me that the company has changed thier minds and is no longer interested in me at all. I know that is not true because when i had my original interview with the company, they said they loved me.

I'm not sure why she did that to me and treated me like that, it was so wierd. SO PLEASE BEWARE. APPLY DIRECLTY WITH THE COMPANY YOU WANT TO WORK FOR - NEVER USE APPLEONE - INGRID IS A NIGHTMARE

How can a service that doesnt charge a fee be a Rip Off?

AUTHOR: Almond Taylor - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 17, 2011

Here is the problem with the OPs report.

The OP indicated that the hiring manager told her in the interview that she was overqualified for the position that she was interviewing for and that additional feedback was needed from more senior persons in the company.  The OP took that compliment as confirmation that they would be offered the position.  The truth is, there was no offer.  The interviewer told the OP that they were not the right match for the position in the nicest way possible.  They may have offered the position on the spot if there werent a better match available, but we can not make that determination without being privy to the details of the position and the qualifications of the other candidates.

Second, the OP had to ask her husbands feedback on weather or not to accept a job.  Enough said on that one.

It sounds like there is a huge chunk of information missing from the OPs story.  Why would a recruiter make an offer to an applicant and then give the position to a different candidate.  Did the OP promise to call back the next day and then never follow through?  Did the client change their mind a hire someone internally?  I seriously doubt that the OP was ever given an offer to begin with and is upset that they wasted the recruiters time as well as the clients time by interviewing for a position that obviously wasnt right for them.

The unemployment rate is still high, the economy is still bad.  Those who let their 99 weeks of unemployment expire without feeling the need to get back into the workforce are facing a harsh reality.  This is not 2006.  Competition is fierce.  You WILL be disappointed and frustrated and feel like no one even cares about you and your struggles.

Everyone out there needs to trash their sense of entitlement and learn to hoof it like our grandparents did.  You didnt get the job that you wanted?  Neither did the 300 other people that emailed their resume or 100 people that called to follow up in a professional manner, or the 50 people that actually interviewed, or the 25 people that followed up after that.

I feel sorry for the OP.  Although it is anonymous, I am sure that the personnel in the recruiters office have seen it and can easily determine who referred to their employee as a rude nasty b*tch in a public forum.

As for this being a Rip Off, why not just ask for your money back?  Thats right, you didnt pay for the service, the client did.  And it is the client who makes the interviewing and hiring decisions.  And it is the client who paid good money so that they dont have to deal with the temper tantrums like those demonstrated by the OP.

Good Luck with your future endeavors.  Make people WANT to work with you. Dont burn bridges.
