I signed up with AppleOne about a month ago because I was looking for a good job and it appealed to me that they were temp to hire and not a regular assignment company and that appealed to me. I saw an ad on careerconnection.com advertising that they had a job in which I was really interested. I sent them my resume and got a response almost immediately. They were nice and sent me some tests from proveit.com and I was told to complete the application upon coming in. I did and went for the interview. Their office was really nice and appealing and the receptionist was terrific.

I met with Stacy and she was a total joy to interview with. I signed all the appropriate paperwork and got my application submitted. I was told not to call them about the status that when they got word they would contact me. So I waited anxiously because I knew I was a fantastic match as I have had prior experience in that field. So about a week goes by and I hear nothing so I call Stacy. She actually got annoyed with me because I called to check on the job.

So I waited a little while longer. The agency kept stating to me that they did not know when the new training was going to take place. I then got a call from ManPower, another agency, asking me to come in for a job they thought my resume was good for. I went in and was shocked that this position they spoke of was the same one at AppleOne. So I signed up through Manpower but alerted them that I had already been entered by AppleOne.

They said don't worry, if my profile is at the company that they were going to send an email to my rep letting them know that it was a double entry. They told me that training was going to start on Feb. 9th, which is more information than was disclosed to me by AppleOne who had not called me at all. So a few days later I get a call from Manpower stating that this company wanted an interview with me.

I went to the interview this past Friday and no sooner than I got home Manpower told me I was hired through my voice mail. So then I continue to listen to my messages and AppleOne called and told me that this company said that I was not qualified enough and that I should probably find another agency. I found that message rude. She never submitted my profile and she had the audacity to tell me that I needed another agency. I called her and told her that I did not need her services because I was already working at the very job starting tomorrow and that I got it through Manpower.

AppleOne did nothing but waste a month of my life and I find it unbelievable that people take advantage of hard working people looking for honest work. I feel taken advantage of and I have had such a hard time finding work. I cannot believe it but Manpower really came through and that is a company worth sticking with. As far as AppleOne goes, they can shove it!

Thank you for letting me know about these people

We have Apple Computer here as well and people sometimes confuse the two because of the similarity in their names so they appear to take advantage of it and I began to suspect use it rather dishonestly to their advantage.

I would like to find a REPUTABLE temp service but apparently APPLE ain't it!

A real waste of time!

AUTHOR: Ivelisse Medina - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, May 29, 2009

I recently sent my resume to the Chesapeake office. I explain that I have been registered with both the Princeton, NJ office and the Trevose, PA office. Since I'm looking to relocate to VA, I had my information transfered to VA. Mind you, the first two offices have never contacted me since I first registered in 2006 yet they have plenty of jobs posted on their web site that I would qualify for. So anyway, I spoke to Tachelle Peeples in the Chesapeake office and told her what salary I was looking for (this is all by email). She then send me a message that their are no positions available at this time that match my salary requirements. In her message she included two temp positions for $10 and $11/hr....WHAT?! I then emailed her and asked about the jobs recently posted on their web site which fit my salary requirements. She then tells me, call me and we'll discuss. Right then and there I knew there was a lie involved. I went on to this web site to see if there were complaints about them and shortly thereafter, sent her an email that I would be seeking employment on my own. They are a real waste of time. They take advantage of people that really need jobs. They obviously get paid based on how many people are enrolled through their office.
