Appliance King Danny Laney Sold an LG Refrigerator as scratch and dent but was actually a condemned unit Lexington North Carolina

we purchased an LG refrigerator and dishwasher on 28 Nov 2014 from Appliance King and were sold these as scratch & dent units. damgaed in trasnit. immediately the diswasher had problems - heating elements did not work. it took over 2 weeks to get a response and filing a dispute with AMEX. they finally agreed to refund us and remove the unit. The fridge appeared to be doing fine until 8 months later the cooling elements stopped working. we called a local repair service as the 90-day warranty had expired. the first guy was unable to help, the second guy immediately noted the serial number had been removed and the sealed compartment had been tampered with - we thought the damage on the lower back was just from shipping. This guy said the this unit had been condemned by the manufacturerer and should have never been sold. I attempted to contact Appliacne King and when we did not receive any return calls i filed a dispute with AMEX and with the Lexington BBB. Danny never responded to the BBB complaint. the AMEX dispute dragged out until just yesterday 30 Sept 2015 and after providing my supporting documents AMEX has sided with Appliance King based on the 90 day warranty rather than acknowleding the fact he sold a fridge under false pretenses knowing it would not last at all and was condemned 

We had friends who bought here and were satisfied with their items and we bought on their recommendation. However after the fridge died i began researching them and the reviews are HORRIBLE!!! do not do business with this companey!!!

you will be screwed. We are now going to a third party and small claims court to attempt to recover our $2227.50 that we spent
