Allen And Sons Incompetent and dishonest Canoga PArk California

I found this company on the Internet when my dishwasher began leaking between washings. Unfortunately I did not know about ripoffreport.com. There was already a complaint about this company here. They advertised a price of $64 for in-home service (plus parts). But after their repairman finished the work, he charged me $126 and he did not replace any parts. I should have made sure of the price before I let him touch my machine.

He claimed the problem was a clogged drain pipe from the dishwasher to the garbage disposal. I told him that could not possibly be the problem because before he started you could hear water running through the drain quickly. Also, the leaking was occurring when the dishwasher was off, not while it was running. He wouldn't listen.

Three weeks later the dishwasher leaked again. This time the leak was huge. Water filled the bottom of the dishwasher and began leaking onto the floor. It got under the vinyl flooring under the dishwasher so now my subfloor is wet. I called for another service call using their 30-day warranty on labor. I was given an appointment for the next day (a Friday). No one showed up. When I called they said they had no record of making an appointment for me. They called me a liar, saying that they couldn't possibly have made such an appointment because their only person who services my area was in the hospital and would not be out until the following week. After much yelling, I got an appointment for that Saturday.

The second repairman found the true problem (a bad solenoid valve which is supposed to turn off the water supply to the unit when it is not running). He quoted me $192 for the job (which included labor) and, because he didn't have the part with him, said that the office would call the following Tuesday to make an appointment. I told him I would pay for the part but not for labor. The company has not called me back. I am out $126 and hours of waiting time for nothing (except aggravation) and will have to call someone else to get my dishwasher fixed.
