I am writing this ripoff report against Sears to help other indiviuals. MY refrigerator freezer stopped keeping the food cold or frozen. I contacted them and they sent a repair man out. My master protection agreement was over. But thier was still a full five year warranty on the compressor moter. The service man ordered the part and gave me the custermer relations phone number to request payment for the spoiled food items. Spoke to Laura. She informed me to have the service teck see spoiled items and submit dollor amount. Service teck repaired item and entered dollor amount to customer relations. Next day received phone call from customer relations. They would not cover loss of spoiled food because no longer had MPA even though item was still covered under five year warranty. In the MPA states; if the product is still covered under warranty, any reimbursement under the MPA is in addition to any reimbursment under the warranty. Why would a Sears warranty not cover the spoiled items. The product is a Sears product. The MPA is a Sears product. Makes no sense to me?? I always bought Sears products. NOT ANY MORE!!

Manufactures Warranty VS. Master Protection Agreement

AUTHOR: Power466p2 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, April 24, 2008

This case is easy to solve:

Manufactures..in your case Kenmore but produced by Frigidaire do not cover food loss..sorry that's just the way it is, currently.

Master Protection Agreements do cover food loss....when they are enforce...you let yours expire....

Also im more concerned you didn't utilize the most import feature of your Master Protection Agreement...this one feature could have paid dividends had you utilized it

....Your Yearly Preventative Maintenance Check these problems could have been found way before they happened...Remember...
