Do not hire Apply 2 Save! They will not save your home, negoitiate a mortgage modification, or work with your lender. What you will get is months of people giving you the runaround and then passing your file onto another person who will again give you the runaround.
They will all tell you the same thing, that it is your lender and not them.

For 4 long months I have been waiting to get the modification that I paid them to get for me. After not hearing anything from them and then finding out that for the 5th time my file has been passed on to someone else, but not to worry, that is what I hired them for to do the worrying for me, I began to get upset. Phone call after phone call was going unanswered and then when I hunted someone down I was told it was due to internal changes but that the new person with my file is wonderful--one of the best in the field!

I decided to contact my lender, who apply2save tells you not to have any contact with during this whole time-you are to refer the Lender to them not to pay them, etc. Turns out that since my file was turned over to someone else at apply2save they needed a new authorization signed by me, the homeowner.

Well, Apply2Save was told that over a week ago, nothing was ever said to me except that a supervisor was on the phone with the Lender as we spoke and that I would be receiving a phone call back after the conversation with an udate. No return phone call, no update. So after finding other compaints against the Apply 2 Save that sounded why to familiar with my compiant, I decided to send emails to anyone whose name I could find, including the CEO/Predident of Apply 2 Save Derick Oberholtzer, complaining about the situation and demanding answers and status of the progress made with my Lender otherwise I would be having my Attorney step in and take over the modification negotiations as well as filing a dispute with my bank to get my money back. Well, this is the response the President/CEO of the company sent me:

We do not appreciate threats nor do I appreciate ongoing email threads being copied to me when I can see that we have clearly done our jobs to date and continue to do so. All lenders are currently pushing these things out as far as 120 days, during this cycle we are continuing to work with them to push deals through as quickly and as effectively as possible.

We are canceling your contract effective immediately, will no longer be responding to correspondence from you and will forward all information on your file to our counsel to handle for the future.

So, now I am 4 more months behind on my mortgage and absolutely no closer to a modification than I was back in July! Stay away from this company I don't know if they are just collecting the upfront fees or of they have another agenda, but one thing is for sure, they have absolutely no intention of getting you a modification!
