Same old saga of a company and/or individuals ripping people off on eBay.

Long story short:

I ordered an item (a magazine) on eBay from Apropos Auctions that only cost a lousy $9.00. They cashed my check but never sent my item. I tried resolving this matter through eBay's Safe Harbor and by e-mailing the company directly but to no avail.

I even have e-mails from the company offerring me e refund since I never received the item but then they started toying with me in their e-mails.

One of their many e-mails stated the following, "If your order doesn't arrive by the end of this month, I would be willing to refund you."
The order never arrived.
I advised them of this and they then sent me an e-mail that said, "If the magazine is returned to me I would be happy to refund you."

This of course infuriated me because I had no magazine to return.

Initially, they decided to blame it on the post office and then they said they finally mailed my item via USPA Media Mail but they would not tell me the date.

I have dated and printed e-mails pages and pages long with more detail; too much to include here.

After researching them via the internet I found several complaints to Attorney Generals in various states as well as several different e-mail address and mailing addresses. I could never find a phone number that worked, however.

I mailed my payment to 200 Pacific Coast Hwy, Ste 137, Huntington Beach, CA 92648 and the initial e-mail I used to communicate with the company was maymarketing1@gmail.com

I want this company to be held accountable and to refund all the people they have ripped off. I could care less about the lousy $9.00 I lost. It is now the principle of the thing.

Read the Application and Affidavit for Search Warrant and the Search Warrant of Ben Anderson's Residence

AUTHOR: Justice - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 08, 2008

Updated information, April 8, 2008, relating to the results of the search warrant executed at Benjamin Anderson's residence at 315 Westbourne Street, Unit A, La Jolla, CA 92037 and of his red Ford Mustang Saleen, CA tag no. 6BUV942. The following two documents are now public and no longer under seal. Since "CEO Ben" and his "executive director" Meir Waknine never seem to answer their "live support" number at (714) 717-0587, maybe other arrangements could be made to communicate with them face-to-face.

Some of the postings apparently made by or on behalf of Anderson, Waknine and "AproposAuctions, LLC" on RipOffReport.com and other consumer protection websites since the execution of the search warrant have stated that much of what has been posted about the search warrant is just "nonsense." Read the two documents and judge for yourself.

See the APPLICATION AND AFFIDAVIT FOR SEARCH WARRANT here:

Please feel free to copy these documents and this information at your discretion. I'm sure Bennie wants to help all his '"customers" get their merchandise or refunds as soon as possible!)

If you have some "nonsense" that you think the federal and state authorities may be interested in learning, perhaps you may want to call Assistant U.S. Attorney ("AUSA") Mitch Dembin at (619) 557-5558 regarding Case No. 08MJ0672 about the Ben Anderson "Apropos Auctions, LLC", etc., activities on Ebay. Do a Google search for AUSA Mitch Dembin and you'll see he's a very experienced computer crimes AUSA. You may also want to call Postal Inspector J. Liam Gimon at (619) 531-8245. Help both of these very accomplished gentlemen do their jobs.

Call the authorities, not an answering machine

AUTHOR: Justice - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, April 07, 2008

You will be better served by going to the authorities (see below) rather than sending an e-mail to a gmail address or calling a phone number that will go to an answering machine for a limited liability company that does not exist.

"AproposAuctions, LLC" is a non-existent "limited liability company." According to the records of the California Secretary of State, no such limited liability company is properly registered with California and according to the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth, the limited liability company "Apropos Auctions, LLC" has not filed its annual reports, is not in good standing, and lists as its registered office 1025 Kronner Road, Columbus, MI 48063, which is actually a house owned by, and for sale by, Ben Anderson's mother. Just do a Google search for "1025 Kronner" and you'll find the listing.

You will be better served by calling and e-mailing the Postal Inspector Agent who is handling the investigation of Ben Anderson, J. Liam Gimon, (619) 531-8245, jlgimon@uspis.gov. Give him the entire story that happened to you. Others have posted information here on RipOffReport as to where else you may want to file a complaint, such as with the Internet Crime Complaint Center, www.ic3.gov.

What other company that you do business with never reveals its real identity, never reveals its real location, has no web site and hides behind gmail addresses and phone numbers that always go to voice mail?????

Apropos Auctions has many names

AUTHOR: Alsorippedoff - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, January 25, 2008

Apparently these same guys, Ben Anderson and Meir Waknine have been doing this a long time. Meir was involved in the bilking of actors, crew and others in a recently failed movie production. Ben uses at least twenty aliases of dead people but nobody seems to care. Now, Meir is posting positive press all over the web to counteract the bad publicity this company started to get. There are even reports and recordings made of this guy threatening people's lives and other disgusting things. So don't expect a refund any time soon. Meir Waknine and Ben Anderson are undoubtedly criminals by their actions, words and the fact they don't seem to care who gets hurt.

One would hope the prosecutors would step in to investigate somewhere.

Meanwhile, another person reports that Ben, get this, is running for the state legislature in California as a conservative who wants to protect consumers and our troops! I would not have believed it if I didn't see him saying those things on YouTube. He is running for office in a legislative district. This same Ben Anderson of Apropos, Apropas, Or apro Auctions. And Meir Waknine seems to be his criminal sidekick and muscle if people complain too much.

They even have surrogates like Mike Ydgerie of San Diego (unsure of name) threaten and harass innocent people. So when they receive any compliments on the internet check to see if it isn't an employee or friend just trying to pass Apropos Auctions off as a good company.
