Currently, Vivint is working to make changes to their contracts to make things easier for their customers as they have found that many of their complaints stem from feeling misled or customers paid fees they did not feel they authorized.

As a matter of policy, when a business becomes a member of the Corporate Advocacy Programthey agree to allow Ripoff Report to contact every client who filed a complaint so they can make things right with them. In order to confirm that the complaints were resolved, Ripoff Report is copied on all responses so we can insure that the member business did right by their customer..




I was simply dazzled by the APX sales pitch and equipment. APX preached of customer satisfaction and the sales person encouraged me to sign the paper work and install the equipment, that night. By 9:30pm I had an alarm installed in my rental house.

I explained to the sales man that the house was not ours, and asked if the alarm system could be removed at anytime without any FEE. He responded yes, 3 times as did the person on the phone whom was confirming the sale and installation. I know this conversation was recorded as well.

One month later, my wife and I were relocated for work. For a week and a half we requested the service be canceled and the alarm system be removed. Various sales attempts were made and denied. At this time the bully factor came in. You can not cancel your service. we were told. If you cancel your service you will be responsible for the remaining 5 year contract. At this point we were cornered. For one month of service we were now responsible for $2100.

Once again to my understanding, and by the recorded phone confirmation, we could cancel at anytime with no FEE. What sane person would sign a 5 year contract knowing they would be responsible for a large sum of money? The way the contract is written is very deceiving and could be understood to favor either partys side, however in reality favors only APX.

Only 33 days after having the alarm installed, we asked for the service to be canceled and the system be removed from our rental home prior to our moving. We spoke to darn near everyone in that office including the supervisor, and they all reviewed the phone calls and could neither confirm nor deny their confirmation that we could cancel at anytime with no fee.

APX alarm continues to charge our account. We are being charged for nothing. We have no equipment or service and are still being charged monthly. APX alarm co. is a fraudulent company that only makes money by stealing from people. Any real company does not have to rape their customers to get their money.

A real company gets their customers money by earning their trust, supplying excellent customer service, and the line the customer is always right.

APX will steal your money from your account, waste your time and bully you. APX will ruin your credit if you do not pay their bully fees. APX alarm co. is a scam and a company full of thieves. Do not EVER use this company; they Will STEAL YOUR MONEY.
