Apx Alarm Employee Speaks Out TOTAL RIP OFF! Provo Utah
I worked for APX Alarm for quite a while, I made a decent amount doing it, but I want to warn you of the tactics they use everyday. after I was terminated for not going into a for lack of better words "ghetto" neighborhood after 9pm to start an install I was fired.
At this time I was the lead installing technician, not to be determined the boss by any means... I asked the boss to call the customer to make sure it was ok, and of course it was not, especially since the install was going to take over 2 hours.
Let me fill you in on a "secret" they send these mormon kids out to sell their systems because they know how to not take no for an answer first off.... they describe themselves as working through college, when most have 2 houses paid off. from the money they make no less..... they say they arent selling anything, just doing advertising... read the paper they are selling a contract DONT SIGN IT.... they say they dont need your social because they are qualifying you... THEY ARE RUNNING YOUR CREDIT WITHOUT IT!!!!! They charge over 20 more a month than ADT or other REPUTABLE alarm companies, and they have it installed same day so that you have less time to change your mind.... IF you do change your mind in the 3 days you have they will send the "LEAD TECH" out to your home to remove the system... These people wont even patch the holes left in your walls or doors from the bits used to drill and hide the wires for the Panel.... so now you are out about the same for 4 months bills in repairs to your home because you cancelled... This company is a rip off and I do not suggest anyone buying or working for them EVER!!!! if you are considering working for them here is the payscale as a technician as inticing as it is, you wont get it:
100 installs (easy to get) $ 65 per install
150 installs (still easy) $75 per install
180 installs (not so easy) $85 per install + 1800 rent
200 a month guaranteed cell phone bonus
BUT they clean your office out midway through so that only one Tech makes money any you can guess who that is... they let the lead man make it!!!!
