Aqua Maid and it's "Authorized Dealer" A & M Enviro Services are disgustingly unprofessional and the product is garbage and can be puchased for THOUSANDS of dollars cheaper else where. I have not seen any difference in my water for the past year and a half. I check it often and nothing!

There is still white residue, NO clear ice cubes, My water bill was acutally HIGHER when we first starting using Aqua Maid because they told us the more you run your appliances the faster the pipes will clear. We still use the same amount of detergent and soaps and I actually GAVE AWAY all the soap they gave us because it made everything STINK (DISHES, CLOTHES, CONUTERTOPS, EVERYTHING).

My filter recently quit working and I have not been able to reset it because they gave me the WRONG MANUAL!!! They told me I wouldn't get the right one because then I could troubleshoot the product myself and I wouldn't need them!!! I am fairly certain they do not even sell the product the gave me this BULLS*% maunual for. Do to this recent outage( 3 MONTHS AGO) I have tried to call repaetedly, to A&M and the Aqua Maid Factory and have made ZERO progress.

I am sincere in every word I am writing. If you want to contact me a personally ask me any question I will tell you anything you need to know with the best of my knowledge and experience with the product.

I am a 3rd party with NO tiesI

AUTHOR: Kip Werts - ()

POSTED: Monday, May 12, 2014

I came across the article.  The following was the response I opinionated.  It is rare that a 3rd party with no ties does so, but I just felt the need.  I do not know any of the people involved, including Bob.

Ok, copy and paste is not permitted here.  Too much to re-write.  My comment can be found on The Island Packet article through Facebook

Aquamaid is one giant SCAM-O

AUTHOR: KeyWestTeeTime - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 21, 2012

I remember this guy clear as day. I received some card in the mail about a free delivery of Tide. The woman on the phone told me that all I had to do was participate in a quick water test (free) and that they'd bring my Tide. The man named Bob (definitely a fast talking New Yorker) showed up in a beat-up truck and proceeded to tell me the same speal- he was working with the Environmental Commission and that South Carolina's water was horrible. Sure enough, my water 'supposedly' tested bad. Fortunately, I didn't buy it for one second, and boy was I glad I didn't, after researching both the Aquamaid Systems and Bob himself. What a swindler.

Word of advice- stay far away from this guy and this product. He was unkempt and smelled like stale cigarettes- not the kind of appeal you'd want to display to potential customers when working as a salesman. And I've heard from neighbors of mine that they went through the same crap with this guy. One of them got roped into buying it and have had issues ever since- he is fuming. And he just found out he had a lien placed on his property! Nowhere in the financing paperwork did it say anything about a lien, so this Bob guy is a bag of wind. Hopefully these people run him out of town and put him out of business- nobody deserves to be scammed in this economy.

Aqua Maids not all bad

AUTHOR: PropertyMngr07 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 31, 2012

I know for a fact that Aqua Maids water softner products are great.  I know someone who has it installed on there property and has had no problems with it in 10 years.  The only thing that needs updated is the holder for the salt that seems to deteriorate after time.  Which is usual from what I hear and after 10 years thats great!  I'm glad they have a great system, also sorry you got a bad one.

Far from the truth, False Reporting, Lies

AUTHOR: Bob Ciano - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, August 27, 2012

In regards to the posting on this site by SCbeachcomber55:

I did not show up at your house, you booked an appointment!

I never said we were working with environmental commissions of SC, GA and FL,  where did you get that one from?

I indeed tested your water, and after 7 tests,  you could not believe the results and you did by a whole house water filtration system, no money down.  I have the 5 documents you signed that day.   I also have all the financial documents you signed after the installation of the unit, which states clearly a Chattel would be in place.  Castle Credit Corp. also called you to verify and review the terms of your financial agreement with them, immediately following installation.

Some time later you called me, you seemed to have buyers remorse because your children or child told you it was too costly, and you should not have bought the unit.  You called me again some time later to say the unit was not working, we sent a service man free of charge, your unit was working fine and he tested your water with you to show you it was working properly.

A couple months later you called me again, saying the unit wasn't working, I came out my self and tested the system and your water,  and it was perfect.

After that you called me again to tell me " it did not bring down the cost of your electric bill",  I had you send me prior and after -  electric bills, we analyzed and researched your electric usages and in five months after installation of the water filtration system - your energy use was lowered by almost 13% !

You then called me a month or two later to say you never received your soap delivery ( which is part of the package ), after giving you proof that you signed for upon delivery, I guess you realized you did get the soaps.  Said shipment gives soaps for a family of 5 for 3 YEARS,  of course you called again in about 6 months  and said you were out of soap!  We sent you another shipment anyway, free of charge.

Each time you have called my personal number, I have returned your call. You also called the office and got returned calls and or spoke to them directly.

You also called a few times after that, for service, but you were not there one time and another time you canceled.

As far as your claims regarding the Guarantee or that I Guaranteed;  as per your documents - it is clearly stated in the Performance Pledge , that if your unit did not work or did not work properly for the first 90 days you would be entitled to a refund.  As we proved on several occasions, your unit was working perfectly!

You say it is illegal to  have a  finance statement a/k/a - lien or chattel without the consent of the purchaser.  YOU signed it and it is clearly stated in your finance agreement and you verified with the credit corp.

In response to your friend doing some digging.... we do not move around from state to state, we have offices in 7 states!   I gave you my personal phone number, which you called and I always returned  your calls and as I stated you were in contact with the office many times too.

We did everything in our power to satisfy you, now two years later your crying foul!

Congratulations for getting your untrue sob story into the local paper, "cheated out of thousands of dollars"!  That is so unfair and misleading,  you pay approx. $98.00 a month, you can pay it off early at any time with no penalty,  you did not have to put a deposit and or a down payment, obviously when you purchase something by finance, you will pay interest.  If you make a couple extra payments a year, as I strongly recommended to you, you would knock a lot of the interest off,  which in-turn would save you $.   How could you be" cheated out of thousands of dollars".. You have paid approx. 98.00 a month for approx. 19 months, (you did not have to start paying until January 2011) so,  you have paid approx. $1862.00 total to date.

Bottom Line: You were not ripped off and we are not the ones running a scam!

These reports concerning AquaMaid are all false and misleading

AUTHOR: Aqua maid water systems, inc. - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, August 26, 2012

The six reports filed against AquaMaid Water Systems, Inc.,over a period of seven years, are false and misleading. These reports were caused by independent dealers and their sales agents which occured in different states. These reports would have never happened if the dealers had honored their promises they made to their customers. AquaMaid is a factory that makes products that are sold through independent dealers.

We make every effort to control misleading statements made by dealers to their customers concerning our products. We also will take every action possible to protect our company name against false and slanderious statements made about AquaMaid Water Systems,Inc.  We are going to respond to one report that was reported on August 21 which is titled   "#1 consumer commits from Port Royal,SC."

This report is false and full of lies. AquaMaid has never changed our name or phone number since we started in bussiness back in July 2000. Our products are called "AquaMaid" and we are not in any way associated with the products labeled "AquaPro". These products are made by another company not AquaMaid Water Systems,Inc. as stated by this customer. We are very offended by the commit that we are "scammers" and are out to scam customers. These slanderious remarks against our company are damaging our name and reputation and we are taking action against all involved in this report.

ALSO ripped off by the Aqua Maid Scam in Port Royal, SC area!

AUTHOR: SCbeachcomber55 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 21, 2012

I was ALSO ripped off by this scam in the Port Royal, SC area. Some fast-talking, Long Islander named BOB CIANO showed up at my house, telling me this, that, and the other that as an authorized dealer of the Aqua Maid Water Softening Systems, they were working with the environmental commissions of South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida to improve the water quality in the area. He tested my water and urged me that my water reflected horrible quality and that I needed to purchase the Aqua Maid system in order to dramatically improve my water quality! He used the SAME sales pitch too- clearer ice cubes, using less laundry detergent and dish soap to do laundry and dishes, INSTANT hot water, which would result in less electricity being used by my hot water heater. He also promised a 4 year supply of their soaps and household cleaners that was enough for a family.

I was "guaranteed" by BOB CIANO that if I didn't see an improvement in my water quality within 90 days, Aqua Maid would BUY the system back from me at no cost or no hassle. I stupidly signed the contract and financed the system with their company, who in turn ultimately sent me financing to Castle Credit Corporation.

I never saw a change in my water quality WHATSOEVER! I challenged BOB CIANO on this, who screamed at me over the phone that I "wasn't giving the system a chance to work" and that I "wasn't using it right." He kept telling me to "give it more time to work" and that it took a few months to see an improvement in my water. I told him I wanted him to pull the system and that I was still under the 90 day warranty and didn't want it anymore. He REFUSED and hung up on me!!!!!!! I kept calling and calling the company and its different numbers in which nobody seemed to answer, so I finally filed a complaint with the BBB. A few days later, I get a phone call from a man named ALTON ROCHESTER, who claimed to be the President of Aqua Maid Water Softening Systems. He threatened that I had 14 days to retract my complaint with the Better Business Bureau, or else he was suing me! He said that he's won almost every lawsuit that anyone has every person has brought against Aqua Maid, to which I responded, "Well if it's such a great product, why are so many people suing you then?" He of course had no answer for that one, and told me that there was NO SUCH THING as a 90 day warranty in which Aqua Maid would buy back my system if I wasn't satisfied.

Low and behold, my friend did some digging about this company and it is ONE BIG SCAM!!!!!!! They move around to different addresses, change their numbers, change the LLC that they're listed under with the Florida Secretary of State, and also the name of the Aqua Maid system- it's now known as AQUA PRO WATER SOFTENING SYSTEM.

My friend ALSO discovered that a LIEN was placed on my home without my knowledge as a result of purchasing the Aqua Maid System! There are over 100 liens placed on people's homes in our county alone. I've begun contacting some of these people, who ALSO went through the same scam as I did, all coming from BOB CIANO, and boy are they angry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the State of South Carolina, it is ILLEGAL to file ANY finance statement (LIEN) without the consent of the purchasor. We are banding together and already have an attorney willing to represent us!!!!!
