Arco Gas Station Self Serve Machine took my money, attendant didn't help/refund me. Whittier California

On October 26th 2008, at approx. 8:10pm my boy friend and I went to the Arco to get gas. I got out of the car, deposited money ($9) into the self serve machine and selected the gas.

The pump didn't respond so I asked my boyfriend to ask the cashier/attendant why. My boyfriends assumed I used my ATM card and explained the situation to the attendant. who responded with asking my boyfriend to slide the card at the register.

My boyfriend returned outside and told me what happened. Considering I didn't use my card, I myself went inside to explain what happened to the cashier myself.

He was rude, didn't believe my story and wouldn't help me. I told him that if need be he could look at the surveillance camera and it would show me actually depositing the money.

He refused and wouldn't listen to me. He then, ignored me and helped another costumer.

frustrated, I told him that I would call the police. He responded, "go ahead, call the police"

I left, without gas with out a refund and angry.. I have never had this happen to me before.
