This place of employment hired me with promises and advertisements of a "free paid training session", they also promised they would find me clients near me (I would be working with autistic children) and put me in contact with them - to work out a schedule. I would be paid about $12 an hour with a raise every two months.
Months went by, and they found me ONE client (it did not work out), which would be fine except that was the only client they found for me, and they neglected to tell me this for months after our interview. They did not return my phone-calls or emails inquiring about this and they did not get back to me with answers I had regarding the company.
I also attended an eight-hour "paid training" session, that was advertised as "paid training" on pamphlets and papers all around the building and the time of hire. I was also promised a dollar raise for attending. I never saw the money and I called them, they told me they were never offering it in the first place. (However I still have the pamphlet advertising it - and booklets that advertise it that were given to me upon hire).
I tried calling and emailing the company again, numerous times - and did not get an answer. I finally gave up. Months went by (almost a year) and I finally received a call on my cell-phone from said company. They wanted to know if I was still interested in working for them.
My answer was "No."

GALA Human Service Cooperative
AUTHOR: Jose At Gala - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, October 29, 2008
My name is Jose L De la Torre and I am the Statutory Agent and past President for Grupo de Apoyo para Latinos con Autismo (GALA) and past President of Arizona Autism United Human Services Cooperative.
With this note, I am addressing few anomalies that I find within your Ripoff relevant to GALA.
a) First, the firm is no longer called GALA Human Services Cooperative. After GALA created the human services cooperative, because of DDD-DES request and conflict of interest between services and volunteers the firm separated from GALA with a new name as Arizona Autism United Human Services Cooperative.
b) Second, the association does not have any owners, is a cooperative and all the members can claim the same interest proportionally to their participation. Mr. Aaron Blocher Rubing was hired as the CEO for AA United HS Cooperative.
c) Third, GALA is a nonprofit support group under IRS 501 (c) (3) and does provide any paid services and do not have any employees; the group members are all voluntiers serving the comunity with autism and other disabilities.
As you can see GALA does not provide any type of paid services requiring payroll certification or licensing all services provided by GALA are free. Please do not confuse GALA with AZAUnited.
If I can answer any questions regarding this matter, do not hesitate to contact me at your earliest convenience, I can be reached at cell (602) 525-3447 Office (602) 542-7055
Thank you
Sincerely
Jos L. De la Torre, CPM
