I was getting married and looked up different photographers in the phone book and on the web. I came across artphotography by Michelle Dumser and decided to call and make an appointment to meet with her.
My soon to be husband and I met with Michelle Dumser who's studio was at her home in Destrehan, LA. I looked over all of her work and heard all the stories of her satisfied customers.
Her work spoke for itself. I right then decided to use her servies. I paid her a deposit of $150.00, and later in August 2004 I paid her in full amounting to approximatily $850.00.
She was suppose to come to my home as I was getting dressed and take photos but she did not show. She did arrive at the church and the reception.
I did not here from her for a while but later I did recieve my preview photos in April 2005. I did not have any complaints about the photographs.
I called her in April 2005 and spoke to her about the photos, we talked about the wedding and why she was late coming to the house, but that was okay. She told me to select the photos I liked most and mail it to her so she could start working on the final package, she also stated she would send me an extra photo (16x14) of my choice for free since she was late.
I mailed to her as she requested to selected photos in May 2005. I tried calling her to make sure she had received my selections but all I got was a message saying nothing would be processed until after Sept 2005.
Well, it has been one year and two months after my wedding and I have not received my photos, nor have I heard from her.

This is dedicated to the truth behind Michelle Powell of Dallas, Texas. My family use to be friends with this photographer and even gave her jobs for our photography gigs. Afters years of friendship Michelle Powell took keys to a storage unit of ours, and took several items with the intent on paying for them.
Many emails were exchanged back in forth thus providing proof that this person had agreed to pay for the items. When Michelle refused to send any payment of any kind she claims that she “Left the Couch Outside” because she didn’t want it anymore. Keep in mind this is after the fact the woman went to Austin and got our items out of storage, and then drove them to her house in Dallas.
Later we realized that in addition to the Cantoni leather sofa that was stolen a box of camera lenses with Canon/Nikon lens was missing. In addition to this a $1,200 Italian lamp came up missing after her visit.
Michelle Powell was a person that we use to trust. My family step father, mother and myself respected her.
BE AWARE!!! MICHELLE POWELL KNOWS EXACTLY HOW THE LEGAL SYSTEM WORKS. SHE WOULD KNOW, SHE IS A CONVICTED THEIF AMONG OTHER THINGS.
MICHELLE POWELL TOLD MY MOTHER THAT SHE WAS REPORTING THAT I THREATENED HER LIFE WHEN IN REAILITY I TOLD HER TO PAY HER DEBT OR I WOULD TELL HER SON THAT SHE SMOKES AND SELLS WEED MARIJUNANA.
This person claims that she got a protective order against us after she STOLE thousands of dollars worth of furniture our of storage and we were being threatening.
Michelle Powell knew exactly what to do in order to get what she wanted. She is a snake, and she thinks she is smarter than other people.
The funny thing is that anyone that knows this woman knows she can’t even control what she stuffs down her obese face.
Honestly, it would be best for her child if the truth came out and she was exposed for who she is.
END RESULT: I COULD NOT FILE CHARGES AGAINST MICHELLE POWELL BECAUSE SHE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT TO SAY AND DO. SHE CLAIMS SHE PUT THE COACH OUTSIDE WHILE I WAS IN ANOTHER COUNTRY AND I DIDN’T PICK IT UP. SHE DID THIS SO SHE COULD KEEP THE THING!!!!!!
THIS WOMAN IS NOT IN JAIL ONLY BECAUSE WE TRUSTED HER WITH THE KEY TO THE STORAGE UNIT.
BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE OF THIS NARSASITIC SHALLOW PERSON
A special note to our favorite person: I hope you hope that couch breaks into pieces under your weight. You coul dnever afford ANYTHING that nice in your ENTIRE LIFE!!! ENJOY this STOLEN furniture because it is the nicest things you will probably EVER own in your lifetime.
I bet if they knew the truth about you they would snatch your child away from you in SECONDS!!!
You are a shameful mother, a discrace as an example and utterly pathetic. Hopefully this site will enlighten you to another stage of possibilities in life.
YOU ARE A THEIF. IF YOU WALKED INTO WALKMART AND TOOK SOMETHING WITHOUT PAYING YOU WOULD BE IN JAIL. THE ONLY REASON PEOPLE HIRE YOU IS BECAUSE THEY FEEL SORRY FOR YOU!
