DJ wash and Artifex Productions are the worst production company ever! He takes forever to get any projects done and his work is shitty at best!
DJ is unprofessional, unkept, uneducated, and always smells like cigarettes and a*s!!

Artifex Productions scammed me out of 1,100 dollars and I want my money!

Good Afternoon Jessicatx,

I would like to take this opportunity address your complaint.  We take complaints VERY seriously.

1. We do not have any customers with the name Jessica, so if you go by another name that would be very helpful in correcting a situation.

2. If you indeed had a situation, why did you not call or email.  This would allow for a prompt response?

2. For the past year, we have only worked with magazines and cooperations, it is very rare that we work with individuals anymore.  With that said, we NEVER have charged and individual $1,100 for work.  (If I'm mistaken please feel free to post your name so that we can pull out a receipt of services for you.)  If you have a receipt from us, you are more than welcome to provide a copy of that as well.

3. In addition quality is very important to Artifex.  This would be why we are published in magazines and a preferred vendor for the State of Texas.  

4. Much of our work in the past had been done for by donation, free or pretty close to it, so I am unclear why you feel you are an execption to that.

In order to resolve your complaint, we will bring this to the attention of the arbitration department of rip-off report and let them determine the validity and out come of your complaint.

Good afternoon Jessicatx,

I would like to take an opportunity to address your complaint listed.  The Artifex team takes complaints VERY seriously.  

1. Unfortunately, we do not have a customer name as Jessica on our books.  Had you gone by a different name when doing business with us? 

2. Additionally, over the past year our company has primarily done business with cooperations and magazines.  We have relatively few individual customers and we know them on a personal basis.

3. We also have NEVER charged an individual $1,100 for services.  Individual work has been mostly done by donation or for a nomial fee.  We have always been affordable to anyone seeking services.

4. Can you please provide us with copies of receipts, or canceled checks made from you to our company?  That would be very helpful in any sort of refund you are requesting?  We carry our own records of all customers and contracts, and as stated above we do not have a Jessica on record, so we would need your "proof of documentation"

5. We pride ourselves on quality and customer satisfaction, so with that being said, we would have appreciated a phone call at the time of service.  Unfortunately, no contact from you, makes it difficult to attempt to correct any situation.  Our information is posted on your complaint.  

6. We are a Preferred Vendor on for the State of Texas, where our work and services have been deemed as legit.  In addition, Artifex's work is regularly published in magazines.  If you feel you received work that did not meet a standard, we would have been more than happy to help you with that.

In addressing your complaint about items taking "forever", editing processes take a great deal of time weeks, sometimes months.  I am unclear as to your personal definition of the word "unprofessionalism"; if that means providing a laid back atomshpere than that would be correct.  We strive to have clients feel relaxed and confident during any production service.  We always treat clients with dignity and respect.  

Your statement of uneducated is incorrect.  Dennis had been taught his techniques directly from the creators of is an Alumni of Austin Community College, as well as having continued his education with the Adobe Premier Editing team.  The rest of the Artifex team has degree from Texas universities in arts.

In order to correct this situation, we welcome the opportunity to learn more about your complaint.  We can meet with you or do an over the phone conference.  You are also welcome to send us a copy of the work that you are not happy with along with your proof of payment.  In addition, we will take it upon ourselves to report this to the rip-off report website arbitrary department where they can deem the validity of your complaint.  We would like to settle this matter with you as soon as possible.
