Called ASAP motors on 6/1/2006 to purchase a motor for a 87 Jeep Wrangler -manual 6 liter 4.2 . Gave Jason all information needed to start purchase order. Called 6/2/2006 to make sure all information was correct and that the motor was going to be shipped. ON 6/2/2006 money transaction was complete via bank and ASAP motors did recieve their money. Called 1 week later to find out when to expect motor and was told they had not even shipped motor yet but that it would go the next day. Called 2 weeks later and again asked about when to expect motor and ASAP motors could not locate the motor. Said Central Freight gave it to a"mom and pop" transfer company in Wisconsin and did not know much more than that.The following day they were able to track down where the motor was and I proceeded to contact the "mom and pop" company (ROOT RIVER TRANSFER) they requested $296.92 for shipment bill. This was not what I was quoted from ASAP motors ($90-110) . Asap motors did call Root RIver and fix the shipment amount. It did get lowered to $180.38 which is still $70.00 more then my quote. Keep in mind that I still do not have the motor and it is 31 days later. Dina Hover (GM ) for ASAP motors said she would credit($50.00) to my visa card if I faxed a copy of the shipping reciept to her. This has been done 3 times now and she somehow has not recieved it.

Finally recieved the motor (which ASAP was going to send to my home address instead of the address I gave them. ) on 7/11/2006 . Motor was the worst condition I have ever seen , pullys bent, carb dented and cracked, inspection plate bent . Called Dina about the condition of motor and was informed that they only warranty the block itself and internal parts not external. I think this thing fell out of a truck it looks so bad. Got a call from my Mechanic who said they sent me a motor for a automatic when I stated I had a manual. Now I have to purchase more parts (fly wheel, water pump and pully) this was a "plug and play" motor though. Motor has not been started yet , so that may hold a surprise in it self. This company is the worst I have ever dealt with regards to customer service, and quality of product. For advertising ASAP they certainly do not live up to the name, 1 month to recieve the motor , motor was lost , wrong shipping address, over charged on shipping cost, motor in terrible condition and extra money to make it right. I would not buy from this company ever again. BEWARE !!! IF you want quality service and product this is not the company to buy from. If motor does not run , I will definately seek legal action.

BEWARE ASAP WAS SUED BY THE ATTORNEY GENERAL AND NOW IS GOING BY THE NAME APOLLO ENGINES WITH A FAKE ADDRESS TO A DAYS INN THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

Look at the other rip-offs from this company and you'll see that the best way to deal with them is to get your money back from the credit card if you used one, hopefully you did. If not, you'll be in their scam where you get all the money but %20 for restocking fees. If you have too, do this because you atleast get something back.

What-ever you do, don't do anything to void the warranty or you loose. Don't admit taking anything off the engine you weren't suppose to. I lost $2100 from them and now have a junk engine sitting in my garage.
