First off, let me just say that ASD Interiors creates beautiful designs and their concepts are amazing. However, this business is the epitome of unprofessionalism and consists of the most appalling customer service I have ever experienced. Shirry Dolgin is the owner and is the person I unfortunately had to deal with.

Her sketch cost us $650 and we were required to pay the first payment of $325 via PayPal for her to get started. Once weve the sketch and decided on a time and place to meet and finalize things, we'll pay the remaining balance of $325.
However, after seeing the sketch, regardless of how beautiful it was, it was NOT what we wanted. It did not relate to the "theme/ style" we wanted, so we informed her we wanted to cancel any future projects after seeing the disappointing design and endured a lack of communication with her over the past few weeks. However, we emailed each other explaining the miscommunication and, stupid me, I trusted her to go forward with the project. We set up a date
and time for Saturday at 11am and the next day, she emailed me asking to push our time earlier to 9am because she has another meeting. Are you serious? Turns out the meeting she had was in West Covina so it's close to our apartment so we said we'll meet in West Covina. We agreed on Starbucks at 1pm and she asked for my number in case she was early or late. Well guess what, she was more than half an hour late and not once did she call or text me. Are you serious? I was about to leave until she came strutting in with a vague "I'm sorry I was late".

The meeting was awful. Everything I suggest was shot down while she insists on her design and ideas only. The meeting was such a waste of time. She came only to be able to say she came because the whole time she went over everything she already went over with me via email. She never spoke on anything new to inform us about. We immediately emailed her the following day to end all future projects once and for all and that we will not pay the remaining balance. I explained everything that was upsetting me and guess what, it was over two weeks and still no word! Obviously this shows me what kind of business this is if they don't even have the nerve to apologize or to set the record straight on their end with me. I was a client and deserved to hear back.

I urge you to save your money and seek other interior designers who are professional and well trained in customer service. Don't be fooled by her gorgeous designs. They are beyond expensive and although they are pretty, she will not
go with your ideas or designs and will push her concept onto you. Also, if youre on a budget, she'll insist that a $700 rug is inexpensive and a $500 bedding set is better than a $100 bedding set you got at a department store. And she
has the nerve to post a blog about her being budget friendly! If you still want to work with her, be ready to say yes to everything she likes and make sure to sell your soul to pay off all the unnecessary things she likes to decorate your
place with. Please note that this business does everything over email and you pay via PayPal and there is no contract or application, so it's easy for them to take your money and run. There's no proof of agreement for her service or
for your payment. Both parties are fending for themselves.

Furthermore, a day after I posted a review on Yelp, Shirry conveniently called me 8am in the morning when I was on my way to work. Mind you that she never attempted to call me ONCE, let alone this early! She left a voicemail that I didn't get to until the end of the day. The voicemail was her sounding a little too chipper and dandy for 8am as she said she hopes I'm doing well and if we can have a chat soon.

Couple hours after leaving the overly sugar coated voicemail, she emailed me a LONG last attempt email explaining how she wanted to provide a sincere apology, how we didn't deserve to be treated like how we did and if she can somehow mend things because it was not intentional. Also, she stressed that our happiness and satisfaction was her priority.
This owner was literally begging. "...how I can do something, anything, to change the way you feel about me and my company. I am willing to do whatever you feel is right ..." and "I am more than happy to start from scratch and come up with a new design for you, or simply give you a full refund of your money, so that you feel more comfortable about the situation."

I emailed back couple days later saying I appreciate her email, but unfortunately, what's done is done and it's too late to start over for us. So much time, effort and energy has been lost that at this time, we would appreciate a full refund at her earliest convenience. She quickly emailed back, "I will send you a form to fill out that will void your deposit and the work we did for you and then I will issue your full refund". Couple days later when I got her email with the return form to fill out, I read the fine prints and conveniently, it states that in order to receive the full refund, "the client must remove all comments, online posts, reviews, emails, etc that have already been made. (In such forums as twitter, yelp, facebook, myspace, google, yahoo, bing, etc.) Upon removal of such items, the client will receive their refund... "

Is this person serious? What happened to freedom of speech? Does this show that our happiness and satisfaction her priority? I emailed her back saying that there is no amount I need back to ever convince me to take down my review. She can keep the $325 for all I care. I informed her that I would take her to court at this time because nowhere on her website at the time informed the public regarding a return policy and nowhere in her emails stated that I needed to remove my review in order to receive a refund (which she suggested)!

However, I came into this only wanting a bedroom and bathroom designed to my liking and she is creating such a big dilemma that at this point, she and her company is pure dust to me and I am just going to brush her off my shoulders.
But before I do that, I let her know that I will report her and her business to the appropriate sources. Soon after, PayPal emailed me saying that ASD Interiors refunded me in full. Hmm...  what happened to the refund policy she chalked
up real quick?

This owner even went out of her ways to create Yelp accounts pretending to be clients to review her own business and give her-self five stars. Funny thing is that all these "clients" start reviewing after me and all their profiles have
no photos of them or the job Shirry did in the first place! Also, there are no friends and hardly any activity on their page. They're not even detailed reviews! Just the simple she was nice, she was helpful, blah, blah. Not too long later that Yelp cracked down on their foolishness and deleted those reviews and then all those client accounts disappeared. Shirry also have the nerve to post a reply on Yelp to my review and started crying about how shes being attacked by me and how she have reasons to believe that Im a competitor. Jesus, cry me a river! Im a 23 year old customer relations associate working in the fashion apparel industry and living in a one bedroom apartment with my UPS driver boyfriend. I nor he have no interest in the interior industry and can care less about her client base. I work hard at my job to strive for excellent customer service every day and always maintain a professional and proper manner in tough circumstances unlike this owner.

Anyways, I only wanted to inform others of my horrible and unforgettable experience that you can take caution and proceed with a full knowledge of what goes on behind the whole disguise of her photo shopped website/ photos and little nice sugar coated reviews from old clients. I am confident and stand by my review 100% and others know it too because I am very passionate about customer relations and will not stand for phony businesses taking advantage of consumers like this.
