ash worth college the college claims that i owe a cancellation fee. i cancel before a week & they sent me to collections, but i talked with one of their employees & they said i didnt owe anything & that i was good caus norcross, Georgia

I enrolled with ash worth college online. I did not pay no money to them yet it was posted dated off my debit at the end of month. I was undecided if I should go to school yet. so I called them to cancel. the person I talk to said that since I didn't pay anything yet I was in the clear. I dont have nothing to worry about . He said I have a temporary account since I didn't pay anything I'm not enrolled at the college. So I left it at that and then 2 months later I get a call from collections saying that I owe $800.00 to ash worth college.

Keep in mind I didn't get anything from them no books etc.. I talk with collections they say that they are going to take me to court and can and will garnish my checks. She said they have a cancellation fee but how is this possible when I never paid anything to start with. This college needs to be stopped they are falsifying cancellation and waiting after months to tell u there is a fee so they can gain intrusts off you. they are a scam!!!! And deserve to be punished.
