I purchased a love seat and sofa from our local NEX.  We loved the furniture in the store and had it delivered late july-2012.  We had the sofa replaced 3 times due to manufacturer defects.  The last one was delivered around September 2012.

The last sofas seat part started to sag and you felt like it was lopsided.  We called the NEX and they spoke with Ashley furniture.  This was around May-2013.  Ashley insisted it was "wear and tear" but even the sales lady at the NEX stated "even our instore model is having the same problems".

We refused their 25% off offer to keep the sofa without repair and even showed them a video of the problem.  Again, they stated it was normal wear and tear.

Keep in mind that we only sit on the sofa MAYBE 2-3 hours a day.  The love seat from them gets more wear/tear and it has never had a issue.

Ashley is not living up to their warranty and pushing out defective furniture.  If you are thinking of purchasing from them, I highly suggest you do your homework first.  We are still trying to get things resolved and its been almost 3 months.

Here we are again

AUTHOR: Carlton - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, January 01, 2014

After going through a long battle with Ashley furniture, the local NEX decided to replace our sofa.  That was a few months ago.  We purposely have not used the sofa more than 2-4 hours a week and the end sections are sagging.  Ashley even admitted to knowing what was wrong and their response was "we know and are not about to fix it".

At this point we are looking for a new set from another manufacturer.  I wanted to update this post with our findings.

bottom line is, the furniture is crap and will not last more than a year even with minimal usage.  Steer clear from Ashley and it's non-existent customer service.

You have no idea what you are talking about

Why would you comment on something you have no clue about and assume how I or other people are, over the internet?

1.  The reason we sent the furniture back is because THEY sent it either with huge rips(3 inches or longer) or broken pieces during delivery.  I dont know about you, but I certainly dont want furniture that messed up to begin with.

2.  Ashley offers a ONE YEAR warranty on wear/tear and other various problems.  Since the sofa is only 8 months in use, we find it only fair that they either repair it or replace it.

3.  Looking at your post, you appear to be a troll or a representative of Ashley.  Either way, stop posting stupid comments on legitimate claims or have your post deleted.

4.  The term "milking" would imply that we have gotten over on a company and things are in our favor.  How you can see that a couch that has problems from a manufacturer is "milking" them, is beyond me.

5.  It is people like you that have the attitude of "well, they helped me the first few times so let it go", that keeps others from getting things fixed.  Companies run over customers and no one ever does anything about it.  **Please reference my other report from 2007 which lead to the arrest of a few people running a puppy mill.  It only takes one person to make things right.

6.  Again, you have no say in this matter and your words are without merit.  Stop trolling.  If you are a representative of Ashley, maybe you can assist and get this issue(which is beyond just my sofa) and get it resolved?

Actually it seems you have been taken care of three different times already. Now I live with a HYPER critical family member. So I am quite aware of how even the smallest of issues can and is blown out of proportion. This company has taken care of you 3 times since your purchase. Dont you think you have milked them for enough?? I mean really, look at the situation. They have told you its normal wear and tear. You dont like the answer so you post negativly about them. Guess what....they dont care....they have already bent over backwards as is.
