I was an employee of Associated Pawn and Mr. Steven Cassidy(Owner)m for almost 18 months. When I was first hired Mr. Cassidy had just been sentenced to jail for Grand Theft relating to his business. I am an ex-police officer. I was hired by the General Manager, to help clean-up the business. It took approx. 12 months to fire and Manager or the Edgewood store and get the store back to doing an honest business. We hired a new Store Manager and committed ourselves to providing good customer relations. By doing this we were able to not have a single complaint filed with the Ha.Co Sheriffs Dept. and did everything in our power to regain their trust and cooperation. While in dentention Mr. Cassidy began negotiating with the General Manager for the sale of the business and lead him and all the employees to believe he would soon be completely out of the picture. Upon Mr. Cassidy's release 2 months ago, it became clear he was playing all of us for fools. He began coming into the store, going through the computer records and forfeiting pawned property of good customers, we had extended extra time to, in order fot them to pay for their goods. He was then removing that property from the store and converting it to his own use, leaving us to explain to good customers why their pawns had been revoked and were not available for them to repurchase, even if they had the money. This went on for approx. 6 weeks. Then on 6-15-08 Mr. Cassidy called a early morning company meeting and promptly discharged all employees, with no explanation. This man is a convicted felon, ex-convict on parole and just a plain thief. He will take whatever he can from whomever he can, without remorse and should not be allowed to remain a free man.

#4 UPDATE Employee

Bitter Ex-employee who is being slanderous because he was let go.

AUTHOR: Associated Pawn - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, August 11, 2008

I must say first to get the story straight there is no such thing as Associated Pawn and Jewelry, No such company exists or ever has. Aberdeen pawn and Jewelry was a sister storefront of Associated Pawn brokers. Aberdeen Pawn was closed and all customers transactions where transferred to the Associated location for pickup. Signs where posted on the storefront door with numbers for the customers to call as well. The rent on the location was kept for 2 months after closing so that customers would see that there merchandise was ok and in another location as well all transactions that were past due were held some are still being held that are past due. The store in Aberdeen and Edgewood were both sold to a new owner that actually had the customers in mind. And all customers transactions are available for pickup in the edgewood storefront. Buisness have branch's open and close.
Mr. Siegert is a retired baltimore Officer who unfortunatly was let go for a reason as all employees are when they are let go. With Comments being made to customers of a nasty nature as well racial comments such as "n****r" from Mr. Siegert, Such things will not be tolerated. Mr. Siegert gave the wrong pawns back to the wrong customers, and gave next to nothing for any of the customers merchandise insulting most of them to boot. His myspace has had constant ignorant comments addressing only the employee's that were not let go, even things slandering one of our "ex-marine" employee's who served our country, and slandering his title as a marine. He's just a bitter man who has issues. Feel free to stop in and see our storefront if you have any questions. We have nothing bad to say about any of the staff members that were let go from the storefront. Unfortunatly with one storefront there was no way they could be kept. All of there unemployments were agreed with and no issues have occured.
