First was Merchants Credit Guide Co of Chicago. Now Associated Recovery Systems of California (for CAVALRY PORTFOLIO SERVICES). No busines details, services nor credit card used. Long time suspected that the SSN was stolen somehow. Which company renders services only on SSN number? Had sent Cease & Desist letter to first followed by phone and now this.

Does Attorney General's Office (now California) automatically start an investigation? Looks like Chicago outfit has moved to San Diego.

I have a clean credit and never overlooked any balances owe'd.
