Assurance cell phone service seemed like such a great deal-a free cell phone for those of us who are low income. I am spotty on my cell plan due to not being able to pay so, I signed up and was given a phone-wonderful! I set it up in my kitchen to charge and be an emergency phone for when we needed it. I didn't give it any more thought-why would I?

So, I did actually need it a few weeks ago and tried to use the phone-would not turn on at all. Mind you, it had been on the charger this whole time...I tried all the tricks, reset, shake-everything. No good...so, I made a note to call the company and had to run the guantlet of phone service-so many "press number 3 for X" until I finally found a way to get to a human. They inform me I no longer have service-get this, due to lack of use! I explain that not only was this for emergencies only-it also did Not Work! So, now, I have to reapply and go through all this crap again. Unbelievable-I was never notified of this so very, very rude. My thought is, they can't charge me for extra use so they just disconnect you. I mean why on earth do I need to use the emergency phone-which one has 250 minutes when it is For Emergencies Only! 

So irritating. Just be aware they will pull your service and not tell you. FYI.
