Complaint Review: Assurant Health
We cancelled our account effective January 1, 2014 and have a confirmed letter of cancellation from Assurant Health, yet they have debited our account for two consecutive months in the amount of $387.13. They issued a refund check for February and promised this would not happen again. Lo and behold, another charge to cover March appeared in our bank account today. Their reasons for this - - paperwork didn't get handled properly. We have now spoken to 3 different people, each of whom have told us this will not happen again. We don't believe it! How are we supposed to pay our new insurance under the Affordable Care Act when Assurant keeps taking our money?
Obviously, there is lots of incompetence at Assurant Health! This is fraud in light of the fact we have a cancellation letter from them confirming our January 1 termination of the policy.
