Asurion Sprint sold product Rip off, failed to honor contract, uneducated sales Dover, NH Nationwide

 My wife and I bought a cell phone lease plan from Sprint. We got two phones. I immediately sent one to my daughter. It was stolen. When I filed a claim with the insurer (Asurion), they refused coverage saying that the phone was not insured but the coverage. Because I had not used the phone prior to shipment, it was deemed inactive even though it was "activated" at the Sprint store. I was told they insure "usage", not the phone. (As if they could send me usage had I used it). I was never told this at Sprint. If they are qualified to sell Asurionprofuct, they should be trained to notify the customer that they are not covered until they actually use the phone. Sprint eventually split the cost with me because I made such a stink and it was their people that sold me the coverage. Asurion simply ignored the whole thing. They are a rip off. Do not buy. Self insure or go to (((competitor's name redacted)))!
