AT & T AT & T U-verse gross overcharging/substandard equipment Vero Beach , Florida

When I bought into this whole U-verse junk, it began as not only a "great" product and service; it was also a way to save money. Home phone, cable and Internet were to be substantially less than what I was paying.


I should have gotten all three for $192.00 (yes, I do still have my original paperwork where the oh so
sly AT&T salesman put everything down in writing) my bill has escalated to over $275.00 per month, an increase of over 40% in a years time.


Was told that all the services I had would not change and they could more than beat what I was
paying. I spent the first several months going back to that branch when month after month my bill was consistently hirer than what was told and what was on my written paperwork. Oh that was mistake, let me see what I can do is what I was told by slippery salesman. The tennis channel, which would have been deal breaker from the word go, we were assured that this was a part of. NOT! Get charged an additional $10.00 for that.


Also, we have had numerous problems with their equipment, many, many down times with both TV and
internet, they have sent techs out, spent countless hours on phone trying to help them to get my equipment working correctly, where they advised me to pay for the support so I wouldn't get charged ridiculous fees to send support to my home to fix their equipment failures.


This company will lie, they do not hold up to what they put in writing. At this point, the only way to
get my bill down to an acceptable level is to do away with things we had for years, like home phone and etc.


Bear in mind, that we have been a Southern Bell/AT&T loyal customer for over 35 years and believe
me when I say, loyalty counts for nothing. AT&T/U-verse has gotten so big they care nothing about their very loyal customers and their ability to resolve issues is null and void. They lack so much and steal you blind. I am so over it with this company, plan to cancel my services 100%, including 5 cell phone
(which is another whole story and on separate account due to their unique "bundling" services garbage. They like to keep things somewhat separate; it is to their advantage. How much am I now paying AT&T monthly? In excess of $525.00 (yes I am ashamed) and three of us do not even have smart phones,
wow right???? Really AT&T, this has turned into more than a joke, it is a consumer rip off. Try to get someone on the phone that is really willing to help you, good luck - there hands are all tied!


So miss Comcast and wish I had never gone into this junk, prior to switching, I did have phone and
internet with AT &T, my internet worked just fine at $20.00, now I see it too has climbed to $50.00 per month and it did work on a consistent regular basis. REALLY????? Heading back to Comcast, they even have people that actually work and service right here in our hometown, people that work there are your
neighbors, friends - more importantly I was always able to trust the people at Comcast, and was snookered by AT&T by this great "savings" value they had to offer. They probably have some swampland they could sell as well.......
