Mid October 2007, I had a pre-approval from Capital One auto Finance, which was at a 8.99% rate. After talking to the salesman and explaining that I had capital one already set for financing, he stated that they could beat that rate easily. So after waiting a while, They salesman cam eback out, requesting money down. I said I am not doing that, because I am pre-approved through Capital One which did not require it. So back to his "manager" he goes. Comes back out and says it will be just a little while. Okay, fine.

I am already aggrevated, because it has been about 2.5 hours of waiting. I talk to the "manager" and just wanted to get out of there, because I had things to do with my son. So when all is said and done, I have a better rate of 15.43 %. I admit to my ignorance as I failed to check the paperwork over carefully, I just a*s-umed that they wouldn't do that to me. So basically, if you go to Atchley Ford or any car dealer, make sure to read EVERYTHING carefully, regadless of what they say. They really do now how to screw the little guy.

Very disgruntled

No Big Deal

AUTHOR: Cory - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 31, 2007

Most vehicle I've purchased in the past, I've refinanced within 30 days of buying from the dealer. Couple of years ago I bought a ford F-150. To get the extra rebates, around $1,500, I had to finance through ford motor credit at 7.75%. 5 days later I contact my bank and refinanced the vehicle at 3.9%. The bank overnighted a check to ford. They hate when that happens. IF you got pre-approved by Cap One, you should be able to refinance through them. Just make sure there is no prepayment penalty and if there is, find out how much. It might be cheaper to pay it then pay the 15.43%. Typical scumbag car deal. They probably DID get you financed at 8 or 9%, then charged you the 15.43% and pocketed the 6 or 7% off the top when they sold the loan. It's partly your fault for not looking at what you were signing. A good lesson to learn. Remember, if a car guy's lips are moving, he's lying.

Contact The Bank Where Your Vehicle Is Financed ASAP Because...

AUTHOR: Karl - (U.S.A.)

there is a chance that the Dealership ALTERED or even FORGED some of your Loan Documents! If this is true, you can sue them and get out of your contract. Pay close attention to the CREDIT APPLICATION. The Dealership might have increased your income so the Loan goes through. They might have also increased your YEARS ON THE JOB. They will do this to get the Bank to approve your Loan. Also, make sure to get a copy of the INVOICE that was submitted by the Dealership if it was a New Car. Some Dealerships will actually provide the Bank or Credit Union with a falsified INVOICE. They will cut the top portion of the real invoice with scissors or a razor blade and paste it onto an INVOICE from a HIGHER PRICED VEHICLE to get the Loan approved.

If it is a USED CAR, make sure to get the USED CAR VEHICLE INFO SHEET that must accompany the Loan Papers to the Bank or Credit Union. Managers at Car Dealerships will make up FALSIFIED VEHICLE INFO SHEETS that show the Bank that your Car has more OPTIONS than it really does to get the Loan approved. Scrutinize EVERY piece of Loan Paperwork that the DEALER sent to the Bank. DO NOT TRUST YOUR COPIES THAT THE DEALER GAVE YOU!!! Call the Bank immediately and get all copies!! Also look for a WARRANTY that some Dealers like to 'slip in' without your knowledge. Good luck and please read SLUDGE POEM 2 over on the Toyota page of this site and tell EVERYONE you know about ripoffreport.com!

Soon, the entire world will know about this site!! SLUDGEFEST 2008 is coming!
