In January of 2010 I had a colonoscopy procedure done by Dr.Brooks of Atlanta Gastroenterology,office in Blairesville GA.The procedure was done at Union Hospital in Blairesville,GA.According to Dr.Brooks,he accidently billed me for two colonoscopy procedures on that day instead of one,two colonoscopys are never done in one day.He wrote me a letter and apologised for his billing department's lack of not picking up on the "obvious error".
 I was then billed for the one and only colonoscopy,and paid the bill imediately and was told I could be assured it was the final payment,corrected from the error in the double charge.Soon after the bills came every month for the second colonoscopy that never occurred.Every month after hours on the phone disputing the charge I was told it was an obvious error and I would not be billed again,disregard the bill.Month after month I called the doctor's office and even spoke with the doctor about the issue in my 2 follow up appointments.According to the office manager,Leyla,the office had multiple attempts to fix the error with the billing company,Galen Advisiors.I spoke with people at Galen advisiors each and every month as these bills kept comming for the colonoscopy that never happened.Finaly I was given the number to the supervisor at Galen Billing,a lady named
Monique Austin,"lead"collection person in billing.Ms.Austin was the most unprofessional person I had dealt with.With a letter in my hand from Dr.Brooks requesting the billing stop as it was an error on his part,Ms Austin said she had just spoke with Dr.Brooks and Leyla and that no such letter existed and I was making it up.She refused my request to fax her the letter from Dr.Brooks.She continued to state that she has never been in error and was not in error with my bill and I can pay it or get turned into collection which she is now in the process of by the final demand for payment  I recieved which will destroy my perfect credit rating.
I have called Gaylen Billing and Atlanta Gastro repeatedly to fix this and they both refuse to return my calls since I threateh to come after Ms Austin with litigation if she allowed this to go to collection with the obvious proof it is an error.Only Dr.Brooks office has tried repeatledly to fix the Doctor's error to no sucess with their own billing company.I am left with trying to find a way to sue these prople for this complete lack of responsability with those involved in billing me and trying to collect money for something that never occurred.This and Gaylen Advisors along with Atlanta Gasteroenterology needs to stop imediately and come to the public's attention to see how many other people are being falsely billed and left at the hands of people like Ms Austin who takes it on her own to destroy peoples credit even with the billing doctor requesting I stop being billed for a procedure that did not happen.It is unbelievable such a person could be in the position to cause a totaly undeserving person such anguish and problems so undeserved.I will stop at no less then to Ms Austin removed from her position so she will be stopped fron these vicous unwarranted on Doctor's patients.

I was billed $25 for a co-payment from a Doctor I have never been too.The billing company turned us into collections and they continue to harras by mail....All this will continue untill you change your phone no and to a private line.Collections never give up until they get their money...Im still receiveing notices a year later....
