This company hides behind different names and refuses to honor the 10 year warranty. They claim I purchased their windows from a factory outlet store even though their company name and contact information is on my original invoices.

Our company has an A record with the BBB, and has been manufacturing windows at the same location for the last 13 years. We either sell directly to the consumers or thru other distributars or in this case a Factory outlet, which was a separate legal entity operating under different ownership. This factory outlet had sold a window to the customer, no question.This outlet is long out of business, no question.
We had offered the customer any replacement parts needed at no cost.jUst come pick them up even legaly are not committed to do so.

I must further add that I did contact the Dept of Agriculture in Florida which is the department that handles these types of complaints and they got the same basic response from the company that I did. The company states that they may still have some parts in house but a Seal Failure in workmanship is not something that I or the general public would be able to fix. This window was and still is defective. A latch would be something I could repair but this is far from the case and this company knows that or they should not be making windows. Hey, there's the answer.
