Signed up a new line on our AT&T Wireless account and they enrolled me into Roadside Assistance via Asurion. They charge $2.99 per month. You have to call ATT to have it removed.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

the tangle web of lies

AUTHOR: Emmasmom - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, December 12, 2008

As an ex employee, I did enjoy working for the company until the quota of sales we had to do got outrageous. We were told not to try to fix your phone if it was just a simple problem, just sell you a new one and once we convince you that you need one add stuff on. They have to add on a certain amount of extra features on to your phone to meet a quota. So we were trained to add on anything we could without you noticing. Roadside assitance is a big one because it is free for the first month. The best thing you can do is really look over the contract before you sign it. If they add it on after you signed the contract then you can dispute it.Another thing is when you go into a store to talk to them about a bill or anything alot of times they will take off your features and then re-apply them so that that representative then will get credit for those features. So if you see on your bill a pro-rated amount after the first month. That is most likely what happened. Also go to a corporate store and don't be afraid to ask when you get there if they are corporate or not. If they aren't just ask where one is. If you use an authorized dealer then you can have even more problems with them vs a corporate.
