My service with AT&T over the years has been terrible, I have witnessed 2 major emergencies and was unable to connect to 911 both times. They consistently acknowledged dropping 15% of my calls, but refused to credit my bill every month. Oh, and I just love talking to customer service reps who don't speak English and tell me they can't understand me the entire time.

The Final Straw
I am awaiting one of the most important calls of my life from my mom in the hospital, and SURPRISE, call dropped, couldn't get service for 10 minutes, and didn't get to speak with her at all. This was at my home, where I usually have great service. I called customer service to ask WTF happened, they couldn't tell me, nor would they credit my account. SO, I go to cancel service (not in contract), they tell me nothing about not being able to pro-rate my bill when I cancelled, so I was charged for a full month when I only used 12 days of service. Based on several federal lawsuits regarding ETF, this type of practice is not legal. I'm can't wait to join in on the next class action, maybe I'll even start it myself. This is all because they couldn't credit me the $20 for my prorated service. I doubt any judge this side of the Mississippi will find it legal to charge someone for service they do not receive.

ATT is just begging to be sued again for continually adhering to illegal and fraudulent terms of service.

ILLEGAL & FRAUDULENT TERMS OF SERVICE???

AUTHOR: Ken - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, June 30, 2011

While I have to agree AT&T  cellular is lousy service (Read Consumer Reports year after year), the only way this would be illegal OR fraudulent is if their actions were in violation of their contract with you.

Please read your contract and best wishes with your new provider.  I really like my Verizon cellular.

Be sure to read any new providers contract before signing. :)
