Att charged me for internet Usage on top of our monthly bill, so bacily if you use netflix, or have your pc/ tablet or anything that uses internet

You get charged more? DSL xtreme 6.0 monthly service in our area is 52$ plus tax.

As of last month we had a charge of 75$ for internet usages. How and why is this possible?

this is not a cellphone plan, its landline bace internet.

wifi is not free at home, and wifi hot spots are,at local public places wifi hotspots are free for the user.

all the people i'v talked to never herd of this nonsense..

To my surprise we have never gone over our on the internet usage, untill last month. This is why the hole thing didn't sound to be possible.

So i would like to set the record straight.  We now have this problem fixed, thanks to AT&T for finding and fixing the problem on our modem.

For your information I was born before Internet was even available if you're not going to give an educated answer then do not respond.

If you read what I posted you would see that this is land line based Internet not cell phone usage.

#1 General Comment

Streaming.

AUTHOR: Tyg - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, September 07, 2015

The issue is the streaming of media content. One single movie can use as much as 3 GB of data. Meaning that by just watching a couple of movies, YOU went over YOUR alloted DATA!!! It used to be roughly $10 a gig when you went over but I think now its only $5 a gig. So just from what YOU have posted it looks like you went over your data limit by 5 GB. YOU used the data so YOU get charged for it. NOT A RIPOFF!!! Just the cost of streaming media content. What amazes me is the thought process in YOUR head. What makes you think YOU can use the data and NOT pay for it?? EVERYTHING COSTS!!!! The only things free are air and sunlight and if some enterprising busniess person can figure it, even THAT wont be free. Are YOU not an adult?? Have YOU not lived a certain amount of years that gives you a perspective on life? Did YOU trade YOUR common sense for a ham sandwich?? No?? Then WHY would YOU sit there and DEFAME THEM when YOU are the person who used the data?? Just because YOU are IGNORANT of HOW data is used doesnt make what THEY are doing a ripoff. THAT is in YOUR head and NOT reality.
