Audi of Las Vegas Sold me a vehicle with frame/unibody damage and failed to disclose it Las Vegas Nevada
On September 20, 2011, I purchased a used 2005 Audi A6 from Audi of Las Vegas VIN# WAUDG74F95N075095 . While test driving the car, I asked the salesman about the vehicle history and he mentioned that this was the second time the vehicle had been on their lot as the previous owner had purchased it used from them before recently trading it in. He mentioned that the vehicle had one pervious minor accident and assured me that the dealership does not sell vehicles that have had extensive damage such as salvaged vehicles or vehicles with frame/unibody damage. I like the vehicle and decided to take possession of it for about $20,000.
On July 20, 2013, I took the vehicle to Carmax in order to possibly sell/trade-in for something newer. Carmax offered me $6000 for the vehicle because apparently the vehicle had unibody/frame damage which means they cannot sell it on their lot and would go straight to an auction yard. [continued below]....
After a week or so of no call back, I contacted Gareth again who mentioned that he wasn't sure if the manager looked at the report as apparently he had quit a few days after originally talked to him. He pretty much tried to blow me off and told me that it had already been too long and that I would have no recourse in the matter. He said he would give the message to whomever was in charge at that point for a call back and I've never heard back from them since.
I urge anyone in Las Vegas to not purchase vehicles from this dealership. I have had two friends purchase vehicles from there and they seem to have had several issues with the vehicles they've purchased. One involving deployed airbags in an accident, which more than likely should've not been sold on their lot either. Their disregard for what's ending up costing me a significant amount of money just showed the lack of integrity this "premier" dealership has. The current trade-in value of the vehicle is $11,753 in fair condition via KBB. The offer I am receiving for the vehicle due to its tainted vehicle history is $6000. I am out about over $5,700 at this point due to their unscrupulous business practices.
