I bought a car stereo at Audio Express in Tempe, Az. The "Home of the one dollar installation." When I got my car back from the installers I noticed they only installed one speaker. I asked them why, they told me my dash was "too much of a mess" "too many wires". Yeah, my 1972 Volvo isn't the most well organized car, but the wiring system is as basic as any, well, car from 1972. They installed one speaker, how hard was it to plug a few wires into the other ports? They told me it would cost me an additional $80 dollars to install the other three speakers. I said no. I brought it home and plugged in the other three myself, which was easy. But then the stereo starting "blacking out" periodically when in use. I brought it back and it turned out that they installed it incorrectly to the power source. They fixed it, and when I received my car, only two speakers were working! What the hell? Why did they have to disconnect the other two and not reconnect them? I had them hook up the other two speakers. All in all it took a total of 8 hours to get my stereo working correctly. The installers are completely inept, the customer service is even worse. Advertised services were NOT RENDERED! That is the defined rip-off in this case. Not only that, I was waiting in line to talk to someone about my stereo shorting out and when I was next in line the guy at the counter pointed to the person BEHIND me and said "May I help you?" and proceeded to help this person first.

I feel Audio Express 1 dollar installation is a SCAM they use just to get you to call or come down to their store. I also feel their prices are WAY OVER priced. I feel they only like to do business with SUCKERS.

Thank God Rip Off Reports are never deleted!
