UPS offered me free gift for fillingout customer satisfaction survey that popped up while I was tracking a package delivery (wine club shipment from California)\

I filled out the survey and  chose "skin care" from UPS list  of free gifts, and was directed to a place to give my mailing address and   creditcardnumber for nominal coste of shippiing the free gift to me. Received product, it seemed to be of no special effect. But oh well.  Just cost me little less than $3 for shipping.

Then ten days later, Got a huge bill on my credit card for what I thought was a future  shipment of product! Calling Aura Vi, said to cancel, I did not want any future orders, I would refuse the shipment and retun it,

I was told  in no uncertain terms that charge was for the product I received (the gift UPS promised me) and because I had kept the product  beyond a "ten day free trial" and had to pay this bill because the product was opened now (not returnable) and that I supposedly was "notified"   that the product was not free, only the trial was free, and only for ten days!

AFter much bewilderment and talking on my part, AuraVi offered  to cut  what I "had to" pay to about $25.  They were telling me all sorts of legalistic things about "FCC Rules" and "you agreed" and "It plainly said"  and "giving us your CV number means you agred"   like I would be in trouble with the
FCC or the law if I didn't pay.

I  felt terrible and agreed to pay the $25 or so "reduced amount" for product I had "opened" and not "canceled" within ten days; a product that  had no effect whatsoever on my skin.  Please tell everyone this is a total bait and switch scam to get cash from decent people who pay their bills (like me for example).

And please , everyone, do not fill out "customer satisfacton surveys" on the internet for anyone.   Nobody cares what we think.  What they care about is getting our money for nothing. I am SO disappinted in UPS for setting and springing this trap.   I never thought UPS was that kind of company. I feel so very sad.

Thank you for listening.
