Aurora Health Care Double charged for 1 office visit Kenosha Wisconsin

 December 30th, 2016, I called Aurora and asked if they accepted my insurance because I had just moved here from Colorado, and needed a refill on my hormones. All I needed was a prescription, nothing else. So I get there and they said I had to see the doctor. Ok, he asks if I'm doing ok on the pills, tells me to ear right, exercise, don't smoke, and lose weight. Duh!! But writes my prescription and says I need blood taken just in case. I'm in and out under 45 minutes. February 20th I get a Bill for $396.95, shocked I call and ask if they submitted it to my insurance. The extremely rude lady said yes, but you owe $725.95, (No Bill on that yet) and it's due today and how am I going to pay. So I give the mean collection lady my credit card and my ex-husband paid for it. She said that was all I owed. Now July 5th comes and I get another statement for $305. For the same exact office visit. So almost $1200 with insurance to get a prescription refill. I asked 5 times for an itemized statement still haven't received one, but have office visit $329. And preventive visit $430. Unbelievable. Only saw 1 doctor for less than 1/2 hour. Exact same thing in Colorado would be free.
