TURNING THE MY DREAM INTO A NIGHTMARE.

My wife and my self started with high hopes and expecting to live very happy and in our 60's buying a home for the first time there was a lot of things that we were not aware of.

First, of all we trying to understand why other people were telling us that we could have qualified for a lower interest rate and a fixed rate. My mind spins as I try to understand how could have happened to us. I would say the first thing that troubled me was that every one was gotten for us , we didn't even get our own appraiser they did everything. My friend out of state said you should get some help up there because he said I should have had a engineer to look everything over before the closing. We didn't know ...it was our first time.

The next thing that came up (which this all happened so quickly) was that the interest rate turned out to be much higher than we were told. I looked at my wife and she had tears in her eyes...we wanted to move out of the projects and wnot only were we afraid to say anything, nothing was said.

The next shocker was the high I fees you call it closing fees that were all in the loan. So little did we know that the interest rate would start to climb soon with the payment already over 4,500. which I said to my wife how can we afford this? I would say about not long there after I must say I got so sick and the stress of not sleeping at night and trying to work job after job, I had a stroke and then another..one. I was devastated. It wasn't long before we noticed only to discover weeks later all of these major problems with a new house?

No we never owned a home before but knew something was wrong...the roof was leaking..the hot water and the cold water in the whole house did not mix ...my wife and I was outside one day and a person walking by asked his friend to tell us that even though he didn't speak any English he helped to build this house. we were shocked. All of this we told to the bank over and over again and the response has been the same you need to pay or sell.

We asked for them to at least lower the interest rate and they said you don't qualify. I said I am curious what are the qualifications to qualify? and I never got a straight answer. One time we spoke with someone and she said she sympathize with our situation and she could do a modification immediately...we were so happy...she said you can expect the plan in the mail over a week went by and we were concerned that we should call her and then when we did she said Oh you didn't get it hold on let me check...when she came back she said I was told I could not do it for you. We said why and she said we can't and I saw that my wife was so sad because we have come so far and have been let down again. One person even told us it is total madness working there , so I know I can imagine the customer's frustration. Is this what people call go through This is the worse company I have ever dealt with.

Received 2 calls about a class action and we didn't respond because we were not sure what that was all about.
