Beware! This company grossly overcharges for their precious metal coins. You can find the same exact coins on the internet through reputable companies for a fraction of what these guys will charge you.
This company has not responded in writing to me why their mark-ups are so exorbitant and why I paid 1/2 to 1/3 more for the same exact coin that other dealers charge (at the same point in time when gold or silver was at the same exact price).
Just FYI, on their Gold Coin Gain profile they state "We have had a total of 3 complaints filed against us with the Better Business Bureau and because of that we have received an "A" rating with the Better Business Bureau. All three complaints have been satisfied."
When I called the LA Better Business Bureau in regards to Aurum Advisor's exhorbitant pricing the BBB said "It is the Better Business Bureau's policy not to pass judgement on prices." From this statement one might deduct that that is why Aurum Advisors has not had more complaints lodged against them by the BBB. Those types of complaints will not be considered by the BBB so of course they would not be posted on the BBB's website.

Not really a ripoff

There are numerous dealers that charge very high premiums on precious metals. These cater mostly to the uninformed buyer. It doesn't really matter what you're buying (cars, TVs, etc...). If you don't do your homework, you stand a good chance of paying too much.
Is Saks Fifth Avenue a ripoff because they charge $100 for a shirt that I can buy at Macy's for $40?
