In August 2008, a kid walked up to my door selling a coupon from Auto Care Super saver .The price tag was $65.00 for multiple oil and filter change and 65-point checks for a one year period.

I made a payment using my credit card and received a receipt for the same. One year hence, on 09/02/2009, I receive a collection letter for @125.28 from ProCollect Incorporated .

When I call them, they will not answer any questions. The man was like a parakeet repeating over and over again that he was there only to collect the payment and does not know anything about the workings of Auto care super saver.

I have never had any issues with prior credit card payment. How do i know the kid did not loose the sheet of paper he was writing on?Granted it was extremely naive of me to believe that it was legitimate.

I did not receive any calls for a year.I had in-turn used my coupon at Good-Year multiple times. Not a word was said to us.I feel this is a scam. The collection agency does not give you a number to call.I'm pregnant and din't want the stress of having to talk to multiple people, who have absolutely no clue about what they are talking(they initially told me my check was returned for 'insufficient funds').

I made the payment as the threat of a bad credit history looming above.I'm one of those people who likes a clean record.

I want this to be made known to the consumer, please don't fall for such lies and be penalized a year hence.

Auto care Super Saver in my opinion is a scam company. The cheap discounted prices come with a steep price tag.It is not what it seems.

The program you purchased obviouslly is 100% legit. You used it for the whole year it was valid for. Your credit card payment was declined and therefore sent to a collection company. The salesperson did not misuse your credit card receipt. Its just that simple. If you would like copies of your declined receipts from our company i would be more than happy to get you a copy of them. Keep in mind when the sale was made the salesperson did not know your credit card was going to be declined. All you did was pay the collection company for the origional amount you owed plus the nsf fee and a small collection fee. All done under the law in Texas. Contact us at autocaresupersaver.com if you need more explanation.. Thank you
