AUTO CREDIT OF MACON RIPOFF DISHONEST REPOSSESSION OF VEHICLES FOR LESS THAN $500 OWED WAITS TIL' ALMOST PAID OUT STEPS IN AND TAKE VEHICLE AWAY FROM YOU MACON Georgia

AUTO CREDIT IS ON OF THE LEADING "HARD MONEY" LENDERS WHEN IT COMES TO AUTOMOBILE LOANS AT HIGH INTEREST RATES. WHILE MAKING PAYMENTS ON A SMALL DODGE MINI-VAN, MY BUSINESS CLOSED DUE TO NON-ZONING. MY INCOME SUDDENLY STOPPED AND CHILD SUPPORT PAYMENTS WERE BEING USED TO MAKE MONTHLY PAYMENTS. THIS WENT ON AT LEAST ONE YEAR WHEN MY BALANCE WAS 3-4 THOUSAND DOLLARS FROM PAY OFF. THIS COMPANY WORKED WITH ME AS LONG AS I HAD A HIGH PAY OFF BALANCE.

Eventually, this financial strain lead to bankruptcy, and the vehicle was filed under the plan. After about three months, I voluntarily allowed the plan to dismiss because a verbal agreement was made with a supervisor to accept $100.00 per month on the vehicle until paid. This agreement was made before I allowed the plan to dismiss. Payments to the plan was also $100.00 dollars, therefore I decided to pay Auto Credit instead.

By the time payments were at about $400.00 from payoff, "a Ms. Tiffany" had my vehicle repossed. Mr. Fleming was not willing to offer me a settlement and allow me to pay the payoff amount, Fleming wanted $200.00 dollars for repo fee, I think it was $150.00 tow fee and a total of about $987.00 before they would release the van to me.

If the company was going to repossess the van, why did they not when I owed thousands on it. Why would they wait until I owed just a few hundred dollars, with reliable arrangements to accept $100.00 per month. Otherwise I would not have allowed my bankruptcy to dismiss.

Finally, I received a letter by mail, after Mr. Fleming gave me his word to keep it for 45 days, the company sold the van in an auction for only $300.00 dollars, but would not consider a settlement with me. This was a rip off! How often I think of what else I could have done with all those hard month to month payments I made and let other things go to have the end result - they took the van. If they did this to me I know they are probably guilty of doing this to many, many more.

Somthing needs to be done about the way some businesses treat consumers and you either take it or leave it. I feel Auto Credit owe me a van.
