CARS Complete Automotive Repair Services ripoff Avenue Motor Company Texas

On April 5th, 2004 of this year we purchased a 1996 Mitsubiski Eclipse from Avenue Motor Company ( Jackie Brown) was the sales dealer. After purchasing the car we were told that an extended warranty was included in the purchase with CARS (Complete Automotive Repair Services) The Warrenty was for 6 months / 7,500miles. After two weeks of having the car we noticed that it was using alot of gas and smoking. We took the car back to the dealer and it was determined that the O2 Cencer was no good. The campany stated that they would repair the car.

We left the car at the dealer for one week and each time that we called they would say that the technician was not available. We were told that they had bought the part to the car but each time that we attempted to pick up the part we would get the go around. One sales man told us that Jackie Brown the salesman that sold us the car no longer worked their. We took the car to a reliable auto shop and had the 02 sensor fix at the cost of $500.00. Prior to the repair we contacted CARS the Warrenty company concerning the repairs for the car. They stated that the O2 sensor was not covered under the warrenty and they would not pay.

On August 30th we took the car to World Car Mitsubiski to inquire why their was a banging noise when the gears were being shifted. The diagnosis was that the engine need to be replaced the pistons were blown. I contacted CARS to inform them of the diagnosis with the assistant of the Customer Service rep at World Car. CARS have been given the complete diagnosis and what needs to be done. The warranty states that we are entitle to a rental vehicle at the cost of $25 the maximum of $300.00.

After speaking to _____ he stated they may not pay the rental fee because they only pay during the time the car is being repaired. This does not make any sence because inorder to find out what wrong with the car you have to break in down and that is apart of the process. It appears that CARS is trying to get out of paying for the repairs. We have been told that they will only cover $50.00 toward labor. At World Car Mitsubiski the labor rate is $80.00 and we would have to pay the difference. We are still awaiting for CARS to make resitution on this matter
