Cottsman'sTransmission auto repair ripoff
*0: I have one for the first street store in St Charles MO
I was charged $350.00 just to have my transmission "looked" at. After that, it was going to cost me another $150.00 just to put the same trasnmission back onto the car. I was quoted substancial amounts of extras as well. I was "sold" on the initial diagnosis which was quoted to me from $600 to $1000. In the end, I was told it would cost me approximately $3000. My car is a '90 Legacey Suburu ($800). What a rip off!

Rebuttal:
I have one for the first street store in St Charles MO. The tranny in my 89 camry went out I took it to them and they said it would cost 750 to rebuild it, So I let them, Almost 2 months later I got it back.
After Having car back for a week the transmission locked up in the car while my wife and son were in the car, she called them to send a tow truck and they didnt want to, instead told her that if she knew so much that she should fix it herself, and this came from the coowner, I went up there after getting off work and the other owner and I talked and he started the car up and put it in gear and it worked ok at the moment and said there was nothing wrong with it, so he said he would test drive it, about thirty minutes later he came wlking back to the shop and said that they must have not put the differential back together and that is what locked up, he said he would put a new tranny in it, 3 weeks later it was still sitting outside with nothing done to it burt there was a junkyard camry sitting next to it that they decided they were going to take the tranny out of clean it up and put it in mine.
