Enterprise Rentacar Overcharging for damages to vehicle Ripoff San Bernardino California

My vehicle was involved in an auto accident and was in the shop for repairs. Because the other driver was at fault, in order for me to keep from paying on the rental, I had to rent through Enterprise, which is who Mercury Insurance rents vehicles through.

I had the car for a total of a week. My husband inadvertently leans against the car and "creases" the front fender. He tried to pop it out with no sucess. There was no other visible damage to the vehicle except for the crease that was left. And at this point, all that needed to be done was to use one of those "dent puller" contraptions that uses suction cups to remove dents or creases.

My vehicle was ready and I turned the car in at the body shop. I had the body shop take a look at the crease in which they even told me that the "crease could be sucked out." Unfortuneately, they did not have to contraption to do it, but if need be, I could have them bring the car back to the body shop, and it would cost about 65.00.

A couple of days later, I received a call from Enterprise damage department stating that I owe a total $467.50 for damages!! They had to remove the quarter panel, repaint, refinish etc! It was just a CREASE!!! They decided that the entire front panel HAD TO BE REPLACED, without my consent or knowlege of such!!

This can't be legal... I just cant understand it. Can someone help me??!!!
