Firestone Tire & Service Center ripoff fraudulent ripoff business North Hollywood California

On August 3rd 2002, My wife took her vehicle to our local Firestone repair shop where they deliberately sabotaged her cars brakes in order to perform additional repairs. Firestone showed blatant disregard for the safety of my wife and children and I think that it is imperative to notify as many people as possible about their lying and deceptive practices. My wife took our 2001 Honda Odyssey to the local Firestone repair shop at 4835 Lankershim Blvd North Hollywood, California. We have been doing business at this location for the past four years. My wife asked for an oil change and a tire rotation and they talked her into a vehicle inspection for $19.95. Upon completion of the inspection the Manager Elliot notified my wife that both the front and back brakes would need to be replaced. My wife told Elliot to perform the work. When my wife got off the phone with Elliot, she informed me what about the repairs needed. I told my wife that the car only had 17,000 miles on it and to call Elliot back and tell him that we would be taking the car to my mechanic to have the brakes replaced.

We picked up the Odyssey at Firestone, pilled the children in and drove it to my mechanic, Emilio. Emilio told me he would inspect the car. He also told me that I would only probably need front brakes and that the rear brakes could probably be replaced at a later date but he would inspect the vehicle and let me know. About a half hour later, Emilio called me back and told me that my rear brake drum pads were cracked and both front and back brakes would need to be replaced, so I authorized the work.

When I picked up my car Emilio ran out and showed me the rear brake pads and how someone had taken a screwdriver and sabotaged both rear brakes. The interesting part is that they broke both back brakes in the same exact spot on opposite sides of the vehicle. He also showed me the deep shinny metal grove that was made by the screwdriver into the metal behind the brake pad when they were chipped off the pad.

It was blatantly obvious that Firestone had sabotaged (the were the only ones ever to work on this car) both rear brake pads.

It is absolutely impossible for both brake pads to crack on opposite sides of the vehicle in the exact same spot and for them both to have deep groves in the metal shoes at the point that the brake pads are missing.

PLEASE BOYCOTT FIRESTONE !!!!!!!
