I took my fiance to AutoBarn to purchase his first new car.The sale man seem very nice and concerned of my fiances siuation. Well he did help my fiance purchase a car but at the same time he screwed him over. They did not sit down with him to explain the paper work they just told him to sign and then they will explain the paper work to him, which never happened.

My finace was a first time buyer and did not know much about purchasing a new car. The sticker price of the car was $13,900.00 what the sales price was $21,000.00 they uped the price of the car without any ones knowledge. When it came time to sign the bill of sale my fiance ask what the cash price meant and the finance manager said he will get back to it and kept moving to something else on the paper.

When we spoke to the sales person we adivsed him my fiance could not pay no more then $400.00 a month, now when the paper work was singed and processed they advised him the payments were $500.00 a month and kept telling him to come back in 1 year to refinance the car to get a lower payment. When we called to inquire about refinancing the car 1 year later. They advised him they could not do that. The sales person and the fiance manager was no longer employed with the company.

Now my fiance is stuck with a car that is not worth $21,000.00 every dealer we have spoke to and showed the paper work to advised that they did screw him over and at this point they can not do anything about it. My fiance has to wait 3 year before another dealer will take the 2001 Plymouth Neon as a trade in.It is now over 1 year and the payoff is $17,800.00. As you can see my fiance was screwed. Fyi never purchase a car from this dealer.
