The Claim From Largo is a Hoax.

We are certain that report below is a hoax. To back up this claim, we challenge the supposed ripped off customer to call us at (239) 649-7300 so we can reimburse him or her for the repairs. Auto Europa stands behind its work. And if this claim does turn out to be real, we will post a full apology, with any info that the "ripped off customer" wants on this site.

We are pretty sure that the hoax was filed by Peter Ofner (or a friend of Peter's on his behalf). Peter is the bitter former owner of Auto Europa who is obsessed with damaging Auto Europa's brand and is envious of Auto Europa's success. In March 2009, Auto Europa left the run down property where it did business for almost 5 years and moved to a bigger, better location (40 Goodlette-Frank Road, Naples). The move enabled Auto Europa to dramatically expand its business. Peter's envy seems to stem from the fact that he was not able to achieve the same level of success when he owned the business.

Auto Europa's growth has come from word of mouth from the excellent service that it delivers to its customers and can provide literally hundreds of positive references.

The very day after this phony and anonymous report was filed, I received a letter from some "Internet expert" who would help me to have it removed - for a fee, of course.

In the time I have been doing business as curiouscars, I have left a long trail of satisfied customers - a difficult task for anyone dealing in specialty cars. Any business - particularly the car business - will occassionally generate an unhappy customer who will not be reasonable when there is an issue, but in the rare cases where this has happened, I have been responsive, receptive, and prepared to make the issue right. I have never, and will never, fail to reasonably stand behind one of my vehicles, and I am happy to provide references that attest to this to anyone that is interested.

Anyone reading the above report should notice its anonymous nature, vague storyline, and lack of any credible details. They might also notice that after selling thousands of specialty cars, this is the only negative thing to be found about my company on the web.

It is a shame that the internet has become a haven for lazy and unethical people who would rather create a scam to make a dishonest dollar than take pride in their work. It makes business that much tougher for those of us who do.
