We purchased the 5 yr or 100,00 warranty for a used vehicle we purchased from Dakota Motors in Farmington MN in the month of February. Car was not in our posession a full 5 months and the engine blew. Followed the procedure Autolife required to make a claim. Inspector came out finally after 2 weeks, said there should be no problem with the claim..
Tuesday of this week (July 23, 2013) Autolife called the mechanic working on our car (not US wth?!) and said the claim was denied. There excuse for denial is there were scuff marks inside the engine, had nothing to do with us as the owner as we followed the all requirements. Needless to say the mechanic and we too were shocked that they denied . Do not buy this warranty ppl something stinks about this company.. still checking into them as well as seeing legal counsel and BBB.

Ohhh this just keeps getting better.. NOW Autoliferx is using the excuse that the engine failure is due to an after market oil filter being used. Which we know is a crock of BS.

This is our 3rd week without a car, hoping to get this settled.
Made an attmepted last night to contact Autolife. The answer we got was "we'll call you right back". Uh huh.. sure. Called them back an hour later, and spoke with a different individual. We have requested copies of the claim denial statement. Of course, the response is, the claims department will review the file and call us. Let's see how long that takes.
