Kalil Motors, owned by Bob Kalil, is a poor example of an ethical business. From reading plenty of reports about Kalil Motors/Fenway auto park, I have noticed that I am not the only person who has gone through trouble with the business.

During the month of August I visited Fenway AutoPark to look at a blue 2004 Subaru WRX. One thing that i made clear, was that I go to college in Florida and that I was leaving. After looking at the carfax report, I saw that the car was a one owner car and had no damage or accident reports. When i asked Bob (owner) and Phill (financial advisor) if there were any major problems with the car, they said there were no major problems with the car.

Me and my mom went to the dealership the next day to buy the car, but the car was in their shop because of a security alarm issue. Once we bought the car, I was told that I would have to wait until the next day to pick it up. I was fine with everything up to this point.

When i picked up the car, I was sent to a local shop to get my inspection sticker. I personally think that these two business's work with each other because my car passed inspection (confused? keep on reading). After i got my inspection I took 495 home. While i was drivning, my car stalls out, almost causing me to get an accident. I pulled over the car and called the dealership. The person i spoke to on the phone told me that there was something wrong with the gas gauge and that he would send someone to come help me out; This was not mentinoed to me at all. They sent me someone who I have never met with 2 gallons of gas to put in my tank. How was i supposed to find this out for myself before i bought the car?

At night, I turned on my lights to find that a few of the lights in the dashboard were out. This also was not mentioned to me. How was i supposed to find this out for myself before i bought the car?

Once these problems occured, i was too busy to do anything about it at the time, so I said i would take care of it once i was settled down at school, which I am now.

With no time, since i was leaving for college in florida within a few days, taking my car back to the dealership to have these problems fixed was not an option at all. A few weeks after I came down to florida, A piece of my exhaust system, falls off. When i had my car lifted to be looked at, There were hidden exhaust leaks everywhere. After this happend, I called up Bob and tried to work these problems out with him personally. He would not listen to me at all and handeled the situation very poorly. He called me uneducated and acted as if he had no concern for the problems and frustrations i was having with the car. He told me to bring the car back to his shop so he could fix it and he knew that me being in florida would prevent that. I gave him the option to write me out a check for all the things that neeeded to be taking care of but he refused. I had to spend $550 on a whole new exhaust system. There is absolutely no way that I was the cause to these exhaust leaks consdering they were all rusted out.

A few weeks later, (today, september 21, 2009) I brought my car to a subaru dealership to have the car looked at. When i recieved a call from the service department at this dealership, i was told that my catalytic converters were all rusted out and needed to be replaced. Again, there is no way that this problem could have been caused by me due to the amount of rust. I asked if it was possible that I could have been the casue over the past month and he said it was very unlikely. There are a lot of legal issues and regulations when it comes to dealing with catalytic converters.

Kalil Motors/Fenway Auto Park had to know about these problems, and I beleieve that they took full advantage of the fact that I was going to Florida for college and that my warranty would run out considering its a 1500 mile drive and my warranty was 1250 miles; I was lied too and trapped into this situation. I am convinced that this business is a scam, not only from my situation, but also from reading plenty of reviews about the business. I am probably going to be getting a lawyer on this one because I know for a fact that this situation is wrong according to every aspect of business ethics and practices.
