I first encountered Automobile Acceptance Corporation in July 2010 when I purchased a 2009 Mustang from a rip-off business in Nashville by the name of Southwest Automotive. I should have known that my experience would not be ideal just from the problems with the dealership alone but I felt that once I got my car off the lot, I would only have to deal with the finance company which should be easy breezy...oh was I more than wrong!!! How shall I begin, I paid my car note on time every single month and was called by the company each month telling me that my car note was past due and I needed to make a payment and how would I like to rectify the situation. Each time I had to tell them to check their records because my payment was made, they would then check, apologize for calling, and do the same thing the next month. After having my car over a year, they then called me one day out of the blue, not many days after calling about my car note, about forcing car insurance on me and telling me how much I owed, and asking me how I would like to make a payment. I have car insurance through Geico since I've owned cars (age 16). As a matter of fact, it comes out of my account every month without fail. Although I gave them this information, they started calling me everyday asking me how I'd like to make a payment. Tired of the rudeness, unprofessionalism, and overall foolishness, I decided to trade my car in to get away from the beyond terrible company. So I payed my November 2011 payment and traded my car in early December 2011. They have literally called me everyday informing me that I am behind in payments since November 2011 (which I paid) and that I owe for insurance (which I have always had) on a car that I no longer own and that has been paid off (in which AAC has accepted the funds for payoff from the company in which I have purchased my new vehicle in December 2011). Now they are calling my references as well at all numbers that they have for them as well as myself. It is absolutely ridiculous. I could go on and on but I'm sure you get the point. I would never in a million years refer any one to Automobile Acceptance Corporation in Riverdale, GA (nor Southwest Automotive in Nashville, TN). It is sad that companies are allowed to be dishonest and mistreat customers that are the main reason they are getting paid and are in business to begin with!!!
