They advertised to rebuild our engine for $1300.00. They also represented it would take 7-10 days. Two months later and I still don’t have my car back. They have given me more than 6 delivery dates! They tried to tell me I have to pay over $2900.00 two weeks later. So they did not even start working on the car for 10 days. I came to an agreement for them to complete it for $2150.00 or they would not return my car without me paying them $650.00 for the estimate and to return the car. THIS IS A BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM! Now they are trying to tell me the ignitor/ignition module is the wrong one. I found out they lost or have hidden the adapter and it is the correct module. They are now trying to add on another $180.00 to the agreed price of $2150.00. I delivered new motor mounts which they said I needed to bring to them and when I was there the sales person named 'Tony' tried to tell me I needed a new clutch, the car is an automatic, there is no clutch in that car.

These people are SCAM ARTISTS! I had to take them to court and a year later I got my car back after the Judge called DMV is Sacramento to release the illegal lien sale papers AER filed with DMV before they ever finished the engine rebuild. That is documented by the Bureau of Automotive Repair and DMV. I had to file multiple complaints and sue this company for over a year and finely got my car back with what they claimed was a rebuilt engine and a court ordered 6 year un-restricted warranty ordered by the judge exactly as in their original advertisement. The engine last 30 days and 500 miles then dropped 2 exhaust valves and destroyed the engine. I thought oh well back to AER for the warranty the judge ordered and they have to fix it. They refused the Judge's court order and are now in contempt of court! I had a tow truck pick up the car and take it to another repair shop. The second shop found that AER had loosened a fuel line in the back of the engine attempting to burn my car to the ground by spraying gas all over the engine. Lucky they found it when moving the car in for the night and it dumped fuel all over the ground. I reported that to the police.

I ended up having to buy another engine and have the second shop put it in the car. When AER returned my car they had stolen the stereo, amp and bass speaker unit out of the car and they crashed the front and back of the car and refused to do anything about it. Now we have to sue them again. We have gathered many peoples info who have all had the same problems with this company. They are scam artists! They do a bait and switch scam on everyone! They attempt to extort more money by threatening you if you don't agree to what they want from you. Run don't walk if you see anything to do with Automotive Engine Rebuilders, Engines R Us Pros, Victor Castro and Castro Towing! They trick you into taking your car to them with free towing unless you don’t have them rebuild your engine then they try to charge for towing. They try to charge storage fees which the court determined they do not get! They play games with you trying to get you to a desperate point to make you agree to pay the higher amount with threats of additional charges if you don’t pay now! THESE ARE VERY BAD COMPANIES AND PEOPLE! Run, don’t walk away for them!
