The information provided in this report below is based on comments made by Felix Morales during an onsite inspection held by a third party verification company with no biases towards Automotive Performance Warranty.
Automotive Performance Warranty is an exclusive vehicle service contract company that provides warranties for used vehicles through dealerships and auction houses for the public. They have developed several different successful professional relationships with established dealerships including Delaware Auto Exchange. Felix Morales stated the following about his company, "we offer warranties for the public customers that purchase a vehicle at that auction [Delaware Auto Exchange] as long as they meet the requirements.
Leads for Automotive Performance Warranty are primarily obtained through word of mouth, "i'ts the best source". APW also takes extra measures to work with consumers that have sub prime lending deals/loans with Credit Acceptance Corporation and American Finance, just to name a few. In order to obtain Automotive Performance Warranties Services you will need to visit an affiliated dealership within our network or Delaware Auto Exchange that offers our specific warranties. Their warranties are not applicable to each and every vehicle, however if it falls within a certain year and mileage range, a consumer purchasing from these exclusive locations are given the option to purchase. CUSTOMER CARE & COMPLAINT RESOLUTION – AUTOMOTIVE PERFORMANCE WARRANTY
During the onsite interview Mr. Morales was asked to describe a situation where a client was not satisfied with the level of service they received. Mr. Morales expressed, "most of the common problems that we have with retail customers that come from the used car industry is usually under the false impression that it's bumper to bumper." This is primarily due to car sales people offering potential clients extra security and amenities in order to make a sale. When situations like this arise Automotive Performance Warranty will do everything in their power to help the consumer, "even though it's not contractually obligated we do it because the brand is vitally important to us in its growth.
When asked to comment on complaints posted on Ripoff Report's website Mr. Morales stated the following, "there's always two sides to a story, and then there's the truth. And if you look at the two on Ripoff Report..both post were done by a former employee. The second posting was basically a character assassination." In order to assure future and current consumers Automotive Performance Warranty is accredited by both the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce and with the Better Business Bureau we have 18 complaints in three years and Apw does 225 to 310 contracts a month that's well over 2,500 to 3000 contracts a year with it's loyal dealer base. Our brand is very comfortable with those numbers, and we realize not everyone will be truly happy or somewhat satisfied with every outcome.
When asked what type of changes they have made to honor their commitment to make things right with the consumer per the request of Ripoff Report, Mr. Morales stated they have seriously emphasized "a personalized touch. Focusing on the client to assure them that their issues matter as well as, addressing them on a first name basis."

Automotive Performance Warranty International Mid Atlanctic Warranty.....Mid Atlantic Wilmington Delaware
Im writing on behalf of my aunt. She bought her car at the Delaware Auto Exchange auction in Felton in Jan 2014. She immediately needed work done on her car and APW referred her to pep boys in Salisbury. They said that nothing was wrong with the car and it didnt need to be worked on, so she then ha to take her car to a shop that she found on her own because her car still needed to be fixed. Once it was fixed, APW "promised" to reimburse her within 4 weeks. She called APW last week on Feb 25, 2014 and asked them when she was going to be reimbursed and they told her that she would be reimbursed by today at the latest. Besides the empty promises of when they are going to reimburse her for the work that was done on her vehicle, I researched this "Mickey Mouse" company and found that they used to be called "Mid Atlantic Warranty" "Mid Atlantic Associate Underwriters" and now "Automotive Performance Warranty International". It appears that they keep "re-branding"he companies image in efforts to elude their poor reputation of ripping their customer's off, not reimbursing them after having work done to their vehicles and horrible customer service. Keep in mind my aunt is still waiting for her reimbursment. Also on the Delaware Auto Exchange's facebook page they posted that my aunt had warranty work done on her car AND THAT THEY HAVE ALREADY PAID IT OUT!! Meanwhile, she is still waiting for her money.
