I purchased Driver Genius CD from London Drugs two days ago.
Went home and installed it, I noted that the CD Box said Driver Genius but the CD was labeled Driver Genius PROFESSIONAL.
Installed with no issues, was asked to scan computer for driver and it scanned and found 14 out of date drivers. Clicked ok to update the drivers and it asked me for the CD key which I entered from the inside of the CD case. It would not accept the CD key saying it is not valid. Rechecked my CD key enter and I had entered it correctly. Driver Genius would not go any further without the CD key. I phoned customer service and talked with a lady who stated that I would need to purchase driver genius 10 as my version (9.0.0.190) is no longer supported. I told her I am not going to spend more money on another program, why wouldn't the CD key work then state after that the software needs to be upgrade for X dollars? I also said that from what I have seen the CD key was never meant to work from the start, its just a hook to get you to spend more money to buy the actual program. She said she could not help me any more at this time unless I wanted to buy version 10. She directed me to tech support, so I had to phone tech support (on my dime) and they could not help me saying this is not a tech support issue and gave me a website
http://www.driver-soft.com/support.html . Put my issue  in and it said will receive a reply within 12 hours which has long since come and gone.
Not very happy about this and from what I have been reading on the internet I'm not the only person that has been duped by this company. Uninstalled the software and will be passing along to friends and family not to buy any product from Avanquest.
